Who cares? We can't all live off expensive organic naturally reared in a monk's back garden chicken!

Long live cheap and tasty chicken.

I care more about my own welfare than that of animals, we are the top of the food chain. Everyone is selfish.

I would only buy products made withg appropriately reared chicken if it actually made any difference overall to chicken production. It's just a drop in the ocean and it's a romantic notion that we can all club together and change the world by not buying Nandos of KFC or Tescos value chicken.

That's what we have governments for. I expect them to enforce the lowest common denominator in chicken production. THe simple economics of shifting all production over to something similar to what was shown on Hugh Fearnley Whittingstalls chicken program on CH4 meant that chickens would be less than £1 more than the cheap two for a fiver chickens now - let alone the cost reductions of that being the cheapest chicken you could buy and production being ramped up.

If you let producers rear animals in a basic and cruel way then they will - no matter how many people try to use the power of their shopping £££s to change them they still will using the argument that "our customers buy solely on price".

That's another one for the manifesto, i'm on a roll today. VOTE FOR ME!

Brilliant post mate. Sums it up perfectly for me.

You may need some more policies to get elected though. "Save the chickens", might not get you very far.

I did not know, so i asked. i can't say i'm much of a fan of crisps, so i wouldn't. it was a simple enough question and didn't need a sarky reply if you ask me. cheers though

Is it possible to get the exact same sauce that I get on my usual order?
"medium spice, double chicken breast on a pitta bread."

The ones that I get from the supermarkets aren't the same.

    Any websites?
