Need Pre-Workout Energy

I wake up at 4 45 am, 5 days a week, and dont sleep much when i am asleep. I just never have too much energy and when it comes time to workout, im pretty dead. Ive used NO-xplode before by bsn and it did well except i felt pretty bloated and my stomach would gurgle a lot. Is there anything else out there that is a real intense energy supplement?

Maybe instead of looking at supplements, your diet may need adjusting slightly in order to feel more energised when you work out.

Might be a good idea to post your diet in a new thread in the diet & nutrition forum with the above problem explained.

i know i have a great diet down. I guess im trying to take the easy way out and just get a giant kick of energy. I really like to drink diet rockstar energy drinks, but they are way too pricey to be getting them daily.

go for 1/2 scoop 1st off, then up it to a full scoop the next time. i'd suggest mixing it in a large mouthful of water and knock it back. IMO it tastes worse than CEE

By "energy" do you mean fuel to run off, or stimulation?

I use basic cuts before every workout and that kicks me into gear, but if it's lack of fuel then you need to sort out a good pre-workout meal about 60-90 minutes before hand.

if you train quite soon after waking (i.e. stupid o'clock early) then looking into a whey or EAA/malto/dex drink may be a decent idea.

i meant fuel to run off, just to give me a good kick to go fast through my workout and not slow.

A solid meal 60-120 minutes before hand with sufficient slow-burning carbs and some caffiene 40 minutes before sounds like the trick then.

I'd look at it from the other way round. Try ZMA, melatonin or even gaba to help you get some better quality sleep in the first place - not only will you benifit from the extra rest in terms of recovery but you'l have more energy for your training.

I workout first thing in the morning, i have a shake an hour before with 30g whey and 50g glucose, is this ok or would you suggest changing the glucose to oats?
