Need a meal idea!!

Im looking to replace one of my meat servings with something meatless if at all possible..

In order to keep my diet in order i need a meal of 40 or grams of protein, less than 150 grams of carbs, and less than 8grams of fat..

The meal needs to be meatless and not a shake, thanks in advance for your advice and input!!!

If you don't mind tofu...take some meatless burgers like Yves (that's here in Canada but I'm sure you have an equivalent burger or hotdog product) and go by the amount of grams on the package. I usually use 2 14g patties and cut them into pieces with some homemade tomato sauce (no sugar because the store ones have loads of it) some cayenne or chili pepper sauce and heat it in the microwave for a quick chili. That's about 250 cals and 30 g protein, and with 1/2 cup of kidney beans it would be 350 with 38g.

Can you eat dairy? Cottage cheese with veggies would be another idea.

Egg whites are technically not meat, so if you are not vegan that is an excellent source of protein. I microwave 4 whites, one yolk and add some tomato sauce after: about 150 cal with 18-20 g protein.

Or try one of bigfella's bars with peanut butter and whey...

I already have eggs galore, the bars wont work as i need a real meal.. ive used up 3 meals already to supplements and i need 4 real meals..

The tofu sounds like a go, though ive never tasted it.. i will give it a shot. Tofu burgers... never heard of them but i will look around..

Cottage cheese is absolutely nasty, i cant stomache it.. i will give the tofu a try unless someone else comes up with something better.

    THANKS!

About tofu burgers, kinda taste like dog food...the hotdogs are okay, but if you wanna go for good, natural legume protein, kidney beans have 7.6 g protien and 18g carb for every half cup, sometimes I just eat a can of about four servings so that's 30.4 g protein and 72 g carb, not that bad...add some cheese for fat and protein with some salsa??? (Ya I'm big on the salsa)

I agree with the cottage cheese comment...!!![xx(]

Tried the tofu today and i agree its not too good to say the least.. i cant stomache it, especially not everyday....

Half a cup,i would have to eat 3 cups.. is that possible????????? Thats alot of beans, lol. Never had kidney beans either.. i will give them a try, but i just hope i can eat 3 cups of it.

Thanks, i hope their better than tofu, not knocking the tofu, but my taste buds just cant take it..

LOL ya tofu not so good...that's why I douse mine in salsa or cut it up and mix it in a soup or something. Since you can have 150g carb I guess you can get creative...if you have room after eating your 3 cups of beans. The hotdogs I have to smother in mustard...I'm gonna yak just thinking bout it...

Oh yeah, I forgot, what about mixing whey in with oatmeal and raisins or something? It's technically not a shake and has some actual vitamins and minerals in it, I assume that's what you meant by "real meal" or yogurt, if you mix it real well and let it sit a bit, the whey just disappears into the yougurt (how do you spell that word anyway!!!) Yes I have tried some wierd things with my whey...

how bout soya mince, it sorta tastes like real meat except made with soya, u could use that to make anything -pasta, cottage pie, etc. Low fat cheese is also good. somin like- whole weat bread, slices of avacado, slices of tomato, some basil, and then some slices of mozzerela. Or some rice, with some nuts, beans, and legumes.
