Need help with supplements

Hello, i wonder if any one could give me some advice. Iam 5ft9 weigh 12stone and my goal is to bulk up. I train 4 times a week on 1 muscle group to a day eg. Monday Biceps and stomach, Tuesday Chest and forearms etc and on sunday i do a 4 mile jog/run. I work from 7:30 - 4:30 as a ground worker (so am always exercising!)
I eat well, typical days diet would be -
5:30 - Protein drink and eggs and beans on wholemeal toast
10:00 - Mackerel and wholemeal pasta and banana
1:00 - Tuna/chicken/egg mayo sandwiches - either bagel/wholemeal bread or wrap. Another fruit
5:30 - Train till 7
7:30 - Dinner - Salmon/steak/chicken etc with veg and potatos/wholemeal rice/wholemeal pasta
9:00 - Protein drink
10:30 - bed
I use progain extreme by maximuscle and have been using this for 6 months. I also take pump up plus no2 also by maximuscle which i have been taking for 2 months.

My question is, does anyone recommend any way to improve my diet, or any supplements i could use, to increase body muscle mass, become lean and look well cut?(but not skinny!)

Any advice would be much appriciated.

You want to "bulk up" yet "become lean and look well cut?(but not skinny!)"

I dunno how to answer that, but if you just wanna bulk up then you need to add more food. There's too many big gaps with no food intake. You should aim to eat every 2.5 - 3 hours

Shane278 - yea i know what you mean, im a bit confused myself! Basically, im quite lean as it is but i would like to be more defined, i think thats the right way of putting it. In regards to eating every 2.5/3 hours, that will prove to be difficult as when i am working the only breaks we are allowed are 10:30 and 1:00. What would you suggest?

15lean - ok no problem, i will post in the nutrition board as well!

    Thanks for your replies

Id suggest having an MRP at 8 and maybe at 3.

Its important you keep topped up, if you cant manage food at these times then surely you can prepare a shake the night before containing whey, oats and a banana mixed with milk/water

At 9-9.30pm have cottage cheese or quark (200g). You could add some fish oil caps too.

    Thats a rough guide

I havent tried Whey on its own before, would i get this from a normal health shop? Also are the oats just normal organic porridge oats? This i could prepare and drink at work, good idea mate!

Also what is quark? and where would i buy this from?

Thaifighter - Thanks for that! What would you suggest having it with? Rivita or something like that as a snack after dinner?

progains good if you gotta six figure salary!

imo its a decent product but overpriced for what you get.

sort your diet out, then get to myprotein or all in one for your supps

or if you wanna buy branded products take alook at reflex, cnp or extreme nutrtion

I use looooooaaaaadddssss.....well, usually, at the mo I'm working too much to really work out as much as I like, so I don't use anything exciting, just mostly different protein powders. Now I've got Syntha 6, just finished a bag of pro-pep, use pro slams as snacks every so often, and have some pro-dessert when i'm snackish in the evening. oh, and finished a tub of animal pak's....er...got some open no-xplode...that's about it I think.

We get sent free samples of stuff pretty regularly too, so I take those when they're about, or give them away to customers.

Maximuscle's Progain is a decent, and very high quality product. Cheaper stuff out there that'll do the same job, but quality wise...it's up with the best. Depends how deep your pockets are really. If you're earning lots of money, sure go with it, you're using a great quality product, if you're getting bored of the flavour however...you could try stuff like:

    BSN True Mass
    CNP Pro-Mass
    Pro-Lab N Large

And if you're on a budget, Nutrisport 90+ mixed with peanut butter and oats is a less tasty, less convenient, but cheaper alternative, and Vyogain in the 5kg sizes works out at around 9 quid a kg too.
