Need some life advice.

I would never normally, ask online for advice. I would just ask friends/family, but my head is done in, and i feel like ive said enough to people i know already [if you get me].
Anyway I split up with my long term girlfriend about 4 and a bit months ago, and we are not getting back together. While i still miss her etc, that is not really the problem.
The problem is i have a son who is 2 and a half years old, and while i still see him often, it hurts so much when i have to take him back, that i get really depressed, and another problem i have, is the thought of another guy seeing my son more than i do, and the fact that he will be involved in my son's life. While this other guy has not happend yet i know it will at some point, this not only makes me so angry i could murder another guy, it leaves me feeling really low.
I just can't seam to shake the blues on this one. I know i need to be strong and get on with things but it feels so hard.

Hey mate i feel for you but dont let it get you down there is nothing you can do now, she may get another man that will never take away your father hood.. kids will always love their true parents if you show them love.

Just make do with what you can if she is cool with you it shouldnt be a problem. So so many dads have to make do with this situation mate remember you'll always be the dad.

Mate i am in a similar situation with 2 little girls who are 3 and 1,my ex has not gotten herself another permanent partner as yet.

At first i couldn't deal with all the thoughts but everytime i go there my kids love seeing me,my 1 yr old puts her arms straight out to me,and looks so happy to see me.

My 3 yr old always says i missed you daddy etc.

So tbh i am just gonna do the best for them and not think about what is going on with there mum etc.

Keep building your bond with your child and have him as much as possible and forget these thoughts.

Or try and work things out with your ex,if it's too late just be strong and move on.

If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

Its never an easy situation, but try and keep a handle on it. Feeling hostility to a 'new' partner for your ex that hasnt even come along yet isnt going to help.

Best thing, both for yourself AND the kids would be if you and he could maintain a civil relationship when that happens.

It will make your life and theirs much more difficult than it makes his if you cant

    Thanks for your thoughts.
I guess i kind of know all this. Its just hard for me to be calm and accept the way things are, but im going to have to, there is no way we will be getting back together, to much has went on for that to happen.
So im just going to have to be the best father i can be with limited time, until he grows up and can come when he likes.
