Netflix thread

What have you watched and what do you rate it?

Im watching the haunting of hill house. Ive heard mixed reviews but I think its decent. I think as long as you dont go into it expecting it to be scary you'll like it more.

Recently ive watched
Dumplin - fluffy film with Jen aniston, but quite liked it.

Murder mountain - doc about an outlaw weed growing area in California. Quite interesting but doesnt seem to end properly.

Bird box - seems to be getting very popular now. Its like a dont look version of a quiet place. I liked it

I watched Bad Blood, a series based on true Canadian mafia events. Enjoyed it a lot.

I've just watched all the documentaries on the Cross Fit games. They aren't normally my sort of thing but really enjoyed them. Rich Froning, wow.

Atypical was good. About a teen with autism and his family. We have a child with autism so obviously this is why we watched it but I recommend to people now it was very good.

Orange is the New Black - enjoyed that.

I keep thinking about starting that, but I just keep wondering how the story can have an interesting conclusion. Might have to give it a go

I don't usually get into box sets, I just occasionally try and watch a good film, but over xmas I've binged a bit. Been depressed and been advised to "kind to myself".

So, The Sinner was excellent, both seasons.

The Last Kingdom season 3 was outstanding, it just gets better and better. The bigger budget really changed things. Pisses on Vikings any day.

Currently watching Bates Motel and liking it. Just starting season 2. Eerie atmosphere, like merging two eras in time together. Only criticism is the direction seems to vary between episodes.

I'm Alan Partridge - both seasons now on netflix! Absolutely funny as **** and just the tonic to make me laugh before turning in.

Just finished Stanger Things 1 & 2, both very good.

Also, got 2 episodes of Narcos Mexico to go, which is brilliant.

My 10yo watched Birdbox around her mates yesterday and then it took me till after 1am this morning to settle her down.

Watched a bit of The Sinner. Is it pretty heavy going? It just seemed it might be a morbid thing and right now I ain’t in that kind of mood right now.

I liked it. I watched it before the hype. I feel like if i went into it expecting too much, i wouldn't have liked it as much.
