New PB, 5 mile 36.09

Just ran this as a new pb, quite chuffed and very tired.
Just thought I would share that.

Thanks, Just training, got a 9k fell race in the peak district on tuesday so just needed to push it a bit.
I did the "Winckle Trout Run" recently which was a 9k race in 55.30, that was very tough, it was my first fell race and it hurt a lot! I could tell we were in for trouble when signing in on the day and all the fell runners were long-legged and very slim, exactly the opposite of my build!

    Good work, congrats SJ

What were you at before the PB and how long did it take you to reach the PB?

    Hi Youngitalianbabe,
I have been on and off running this distance for a couple of years, when I started running again this January I was hovering round the 50 minute mark then it slowly started coming down to 48, 45, 40, 38 then pushed hard for this one at just over 36mins, not sure how much faster I can do it though, dont want to comprimise muscle too much and am quite happy with near 7 minute miles.
    Cheers
    SJ
