New Phone

Im able to upgrade my contract on 14th Sept and looking at new handsets. Right now its either the Blackberry Storm or the Nokia N97 32GB.

Im torn between them cause the Nokia has a 5MP camera whilst the Blackberry is only 3.2MP; Nokia has alot more internal memory, but I can get a MicroSD card for cheap to boost the Blackberry memory plus I wont be using it as a music player; just for internet, texts, calls etc and the Blackberry seems to have alot more features like the above than the Nokia.

Whats peoples experiences with these two phones?

Are you set on one of those two.

The Nokia N86 has an 8mpx camera, memory is upgradeable by MicroSD, proper normal phone keypad, OLED screen. Still waiting for my upgrades to kick in so i can get one.

go for the blackberry.... its catching on very quickly and other people who have a blackberry can talk to you for free via the blackberry messenger from all over the world.. its great.

3.2mp is more than enough... mega pixel is only if your going to enlage the photo to something maybe like a billboard otherwize 3.2 if great. and also the memory cards go up2 around 16gb now i think which is more than enough i recon.

    its all about the blackberry!!

got a storm now,   with the improved software it flies along, with the new operating system build round the corner for all blackberrys it will be an awesome phone,   the messenger is great, the apps are cool and unlike the likes of the iphone it can multi task,, always been a fan of the n97   but if you go in there forums the problems they are having are terrible......just my opinion thou

the screen takes a little getting used, but it feels more natural as it feels like you have pressed a button....typing is far the best i have had on any touch screen.... iwould see if you can have it on 14 days approval first...there is no wifi   but the browser is super fast.......just note thou the storm two is being released later this year, but no one knows when   also there is a mini 97 coming soon too

I'm considering getting one of these when I'm ready to upgrade.

Looks like a Blackberry rival from Nokia, not sure when it's coming out though.

I think I'm going for the HTC Hero when I upgrade next month (or G2 as it's known on Tmobile).

The iPhone tariffs are just too high for me to justify paying and this seems to come in 2nd best (or maybe even better).

I'm due an upgrade next month, but I just want to see the Hero in action first......... which is proving impossible.

Orange didn't have any in to show me last week and Tmobile don't know when they're getting any in.

The bold is WAY better than the storm and the IPhone 3gs is on another level!

    GET THE IPHONE 3GS!

    Squat: 363kg

    Bench: 195kg

    Deadlift: 300kg

    @ (currently 114kg)

    ...soon to be obliterated!

It's a good little phone. So long as it does what you want and you like the style/size then go for it.

Unless you would be tempted by a significant drop in your monthly outgoings to stick with what you have.

A SIM only deal could set you back only £20 a month for mobile internet, several hundred minutes and unlimited texts. If you were going to pay £35 a month for 18 months that's £270 you'd save - if you can afford to drop to the cheaper tariff and buy a phone on your own £270 buys you a lot and you aren't tied in in case you decide late to upgrade because a phone you really want comes out

Awesome pic, but Tony you're not doing yourself many favours posting up tips on preventing the gag reflex and then a picture of a guy touching his toes - Ak
