is quark/cottage cheese, with the fat in it, really advisable for before-bed consumption? yes, I realize this is a bulk, but won't that only lead to fat growth?

no fat slows down the absorption of protein down, there is no fat in quark and very little in low fat cottage cheese, if you want fat add the EFAs from olives, often better to have fat over carbs when sedentry

liking that a lot, its making me hungray just reading it. I really like the idea of homemade weight gainers, convienent, tasty and easy to consume.

Toxic what do you think of replacing the milk with water, eating the banana separately and bumping up either the whey or oats to compensape for the milk cals. I only ask this as I cannot drink milk and I have nowhere to keep soya milk fresh at work.

I will definitly be adopting this in the autumn. Gonna have a proper go at bulking. Those amounts are just about right for me too as I am similar weight to the example weight.

    thanks paul
    ok
yes change the milk for more oats or banans, thats fine, if you want to bump up the cals, drop some macadamia oil in there to stick up the cal count and add some nice fats in there

I reckon I can simply eat what I do now (very similar to the example minus the gainer) and add in some gainer meals.

    Hi,

Really like the meal plan, have some questions though...

    1) To make the weight gainer do you just stuff all the ingredients in a blender? ( sorry if this is stupid question - not much of a cook)

    2) Is replacing the basmati rice with wholegrain brown rice going to effect the balance at all?

    3) what is Udos oil?

    4) Lastly!! --- can i get dextrose and multidex in holland and barret?

    cheers,
    Jim
