New member looking for advice on hwo to bul up and put weight

Hi i have been reading around the forums and thought i should join for some advice. 
 
I am 18 and dont really like my current appearance as i am too skinny. I tend to eat a fair amount but i seem to burn it off as i have quite a high metabolic rate, and therefore am skinny.
 
I am looking to put some weight on and have a toned muscly appearance.
 
I am looking to join a gym next week and start the process of body building.
 
I just want to know what supplements should i take to gain weight and muscle?
 
How long does it normally take to notice a difference?
 
How many days a week should i train?
 
What are the best methods to gain muscle and weight fast?

    lol all skinny people think they have hgih metabolic rates and that they can eat what they want and not get fat, untill they see what it is that they have to be eating to bulk up and how often they have to eat.

    1. You dont need any supplements at the mo, but you'll probably want to take something anyway so i'd suggest Whey protein.

    2. How longs a peice of string?

    3. train no less then 3 days a week, train no more then 5/6 (weight training that is)

    4. Best method would be, Train, eat, sleep and repeat.

    I do a lot of push ups and sit ups. And I drink plenty of milk.

    Helped me out a lot when i first started out, wont let me change my sig but im actually 17. Supps i just took whey protein when i first started out and now moved onto creatine aswell. As for time, i noticed a difference the first few weeks. If you're just starting then the muscle seem to pile on the first month or so then starts to slow down. I would overload and train mon,tues,wed,thurs, or 4days in a row of your choice, and either do cardio on the other days or have as your day off. And as for best method read the article, prettyy basic, too build muscle you need to train and have a good diet.

    Ok i will look into getting some whey protein. Are there any particulaar ones that you reccomend? Also whats the best place to buy from?

    i would go with something like this.
     
    Monday; chest and tricep
     
    flat bench - 4 sets of 8
    incline flyes- 4 sets of 8
     
    cable pushdowns- 4 sets of 8
    bench dips- 2 sets til;l failure
     
     
    wednesday; back and biceps
     
    barbell row- 4 sets of 8
    lat pull down to chest- 3 sets of 8
    deadlift- 4 sets of 10,8,6,4
     
    dumbell concentration curls- 3 sets of 10
    ez bar curls- 3 sets of 8
     
     
    friday; legs and shoulders
     
    barbell squats- 5 sets of 8
    leg extension- 2 sets until failure
    hamstring curls- 4 sets of 8
    calf raises- 4 sets of 15
     
    millitary press- 4 sets of 8
    front raises- 2 sets of 8
    bent over laterals- 2 sets of 8
     
     
     
    you dont need any fancy supplements, and if you want to buy something to help, go and buy a good quality weight gain/protein shake and have one straight after you train. post in the diet section for help with a diet.

    have one of these immideatley after you train. the main advice i can give you is dont overtrain and get plenty of REAL FOOD down you, down use shakes as a replacment for food.

    I wouldn't think creatine for a beginner is ideal. But if i were you, i would certainly look into it, read up on articles and just find out if its something you would like. Plent of articles about, but for right now i would advise you not to take creatine yet.

    i would personally not bother with creatine yet, give it a few months then give it a try.
