I think that 30mins cardio before a weights session isnt a good idea you wont have enough energy left as muscle glycogen would be heavily depleted.

If you can at least do them both at different times of the day if not on different days altogether.

I do try and vary my cardio before my workouts, sometimes I'll do the cario in the morn and train pm, some days the other way arround and other days I'll do them both pm - it just depends on my work commitments on a given day, but I hear what you are saying.

Well, yesterday was no fun. 4 hours rugby training during the day followed by a cv sesh last night Felt good throughout the day but hit the wall when I got home, there was just no moving me.

4hrs rugby training - contact drills, ball skills and phase training

    Cardio-
    10 min Eliptical Trainer
    Max HR 160bpm
    Cals 168
    20 min Cycling - sprints
    Max HR 178bpm
    Cals 223
    10 min Eliptical Trainer
    Max HR 165bpm
    Cals 174

Felt good, but for some reason, I allways feel guilty when I stop, even after an hour, hour and a half of cv!

Need to get my f***ing diet on track!!

Ok, been in work since 0745h. Diet has gone to pot today, only eaten one Alpen bar and one 15g packet of chicken!

Looks like I'll be back in meetings now till late tonight - that means no training. This wont be the first time I have left work after the gym is closed.
Dont feel too hungry funny enough, guilty that my diet has been so poor today though. I feel worse about missing training though......
At least the MD will get a pizza in!
