Hi

Just started the gym today. I am skinny and an looking for a good weight gain / protein drink which is all in one. I know i need to eat lots og good food as well but i wanta supplement to help me as well.

The problem is is that there are so many to choose from, so just need some advice really on which are the best to get.

So far i have looked at

Are any of the above any good?

Best advice is don't get sucked in to using weight gains. First of all get your diet sorted. Food is much better than any supplement you'll buy.

In the early stages as you are, you have to try them. We all react different. I had a weight gainer once that would go straight through me (actually lost weight) so i stopped using it !

i think its better to get a decent protein powder, boditronics is good for me. you can also buy some maltodextrin to add calories to it, i beleive most weight gainers are made up of this anyways !

Whey protein. Throw some oats in for carbs and peanut butter for fat and you have a perfectly good weight gainer shake. Don't bother with weight gainer supps they're way overrpiced. And listen to Hamiltonfitness, he's saying that if you sort your diet out you won't need a weight gainer to aid you, he's trying to save you money.

Good quality food is the best weight gainer....lots of it.

This probably isn't the answer that you want to here though so i'll say Boditronics Mass Attack, great mixability and flavour, I always took mine with Milk for extra calories so I don't know how it goes with water

You dont need help in picking one, they all do the same thing. (give you extra cals). all the ones you have listened are good companys, not the cheapest but will still do the job

I do a lot of push ups and sit ups. And I drink plenty of milk.

I was listening to him, and i didnt mean my reply to come across in that way as if i was ignoring. In reply i meant that yes i know i need a good diet to start with. But i want to try these supplements to see if it will perosnally aas i know they work for some people and for tohers they have no impact, so until i try one i wotn know if they ahgev a benefit for me. I was just looking for some advice really as i am sure many  worked well and others havent, therefore i am just lookign for the best one.

of course they'll work for you, if the rest of your diet is good enough, if not, then they will not work for you in the way in which you want them.

Weight gainers havnt got some magic ingredients in them which make you gain weight, they just add extra kcals to your diet, which you could get from anything, like a cheese buger or something lol
