Newbie Question Re: Creatine

Hi Guys, 1st post, so please dont crush my with your big arms.

I used to train a few years ago. but fell into the trap of, Women and Alcohol. Then followed by lazyness and injury i've not done any proper weight training for about 10 years.

But i'm back, and the whole thing is daunting me.

My supplement question though is, I've recently bought and started taking Maximuscle Creatamax 8000GL, (bought before i started reading this forum) and I have a question about the loading period of it, Ive read the Creatine Article (http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/article-creatine.asp) and its very good, but i have a product specific question.

The instructions on the product say to load taking 4 servings of 35g per day.

But from what i've read people seem to suggest just 5grams per day, but i'm unsure if this relates to specific manufacturers.

Can anyone tell me if this loading period sounds about right? And also whether it is a Mono or Cee (What does CEE mean?)

My next choice will be some creatine from myprotein

Cheers and thanks in advance for your help, hopefully with your help i can regain my confidence, and get back to my former self, and over come my shoulder injury.

    Welcome to Muscletalk!

Some people still like to load up on it, others just start on single or double daily doses. Been debated on here before, a search should bring up some info for you.

The product you have is Creatine Monohydrate.

CEE means creatine ethyl ester. Some basic reading on it here: CLICK HERE!

Cheers mate, I wasnt sure what Creatine i had.

I have been searching, as i hate newbie posts of stuff that has been covered previously, although i know that sometimes its nice to have a personalised response.

I think i may cut the loading down to double doses. Cheers

if it says 35g servings, you don't have 'just' creatine. Its 5g creatine plus 30g of other stuff (simple carbs etc).

also, personally I wouldn't load this, purely because of how much it's cost you. If you want to load, buy a big tub of bulk mono for peanuts. 4 servings of bulk, 1 serving maximuscle.
