Newbie

Hello I am a newbie to your site and am looking forward to getting to know some great people here. I am a lineman for the power company in Tennessee and have three daughters two in college and one fixing to graduate high school and then going to college, so I have my hands full. I workout 3 to 4 times a week and have really grown since I joined the gym again 2 years ago. I am 46 and when I was in my mid 30s I worked out continuously and got really massive and was going to do some shows but family is first , you know what I mean. So I had to cut back. But now since they are all grown I went back to the gym and am almost back to the point I was before, just have to keep pushing myself to grow even bigger. I had a stroke in 2011 and was on a ventilator for 8 days and they told my wife I had brain damage and they didn't think I would ever be the same. But I fought through it and with the doctor who saved my life and the rehab at the hospital that I was at for 3 months I got a lot better. I had 3 nurses come to the house every day when they sent me home for my speech therapy and my walking therapy and my memory therapy. It really changed my life , I was a real asshole before the stroke and after all that it really hit me hard what life was all about, family! So I joined the gym here at home, power house gym and started doing the therapy on my own. I was a mere 190lbs and no I am up to 260lbs of pure muscle mass. Not to brag but I have worked my ass off to get back to where I am today, and there's not a day goes by when I go to the gym I have comments on how I have grown and gotten so big. We measured my arms and they are 26inches and I do 400 crunches every workout and do the treadmill for 20 minutes on an incline of 10 and a speed of 3.5. I hope to get it faster but that will come I hope. I just wanted to say hello and tell you a little about myself and if anyone has any questions please ask me. If anyone has any suggestions abot getting more ripped than I already am please let me know, for I can see my abs good yet they are not where I want them to be at all. Thanks Moosse

Well I am Moosse and I have been working out for about 2 and half years now ,  I recently had a stroke in 2011 and it was in my brain, and was on a ventilator for eight days and they had told my wife and my three beautiful girls to prepare themselves for the worst. I had a great doctor and he was the one that told my wife the news and he said if I did make it to prepare herself to put me in a nursing home. Fortunately my doctor was able to heal me and make me better and I listened to him and did all the therapy they told me to do then I was sent home within 3 months. When I returned home I had 3 different nurses who came to my house and worked with me on my stability and speech and my movement. I also had physical therapy with them. After 2 months of that I joined the gym again , for I used to be a regular back when I was in my late 30's and I was pretty massive at least that is what my wife says, she called me a muscle head. But when I went back to the gym I was a mere 190lbs and from that time on I worked hard and harder to get where I am today, I am at 240lbs and was at 260lbs, yet I want to get ripped so I started doing 400 crunches a workout and doing 20 minutes on the treadmill. So I have gotten pretty ripped and now feel great so that is about me and my story so thanks for listening, Moosse
