Newbie needs help.

Hi.
I’d appreciate any help you could give me guys.
I’m 25 i weight 156lbs and about 25% body fat. I’ve been going to the gym now for about 2 months. I’ve been told by a few people to stick to what I’m doing naturally. I don’t feel I can lift as much as I should be. I know its all about taking time to build the muscle up but I was curious after reading about creatine. The side effects have put a question mark over the idea. I saw Kre-Alkalyn and it sounds like something that would be suitable for me. Could any of you guys give me advice on what I should take along with my work out?

You're still new and you are still learning.

My opinion is that you do not need creatine. Your body is still going through many adaptations and there is much improvement to be made as long as a structured routine is in place and there is progression. Creatine is not the magic that will make you stronger, training correctly with consistant progression and good nutrition is.

What are your main goals and what does your program look like?

    Welcome to Muscletalk!

Firstly, with 2 months training behind you i would suggest you forget about supplements for now. There will be plenty of progress to be made without them!

Diet, training and rest are the keys ...simple as that!

I would suggest posting up your diet and training plan for some feedback.

Like i said i'm a complete newbie. Any tips on a good diet for me i'm a vegitarian and i want to get more body mass. So i need some way to get the protein intake. Also as for the Training plan i had one given by the gym that i later scrapped. I tend to do all machines on reps of two 10's two 8's and two 6's. Oh and i go to the gym 3 days a week thinking of increasing the days. Thanks for the comments posted already guys. I didn't want to rush into something i have no idea about. You been helpful.
