No / Low Supplement Diet???

Quick question; I find protein shakes a real pain in the a$$ to digest, even the bars that you can buy don’t really help…… Can I still get decent results without them?

Currently 6ft tall, and 194lbs & looking to shift the loose cut and generally shape up.

My suggested diet would be something along these lines;

07:00 – 3 eggs (only 1 yoke) scrambles on granary toast
Flaxseed, Multi Vit

09:30 – Mullerlight Yoghurt, Banana, Handfull of Nuts and Seeds

12:00 – Chicken or fish, small amount of carbs
Flaxseed

15:00 – Nuts and Seeds, Apple/pear

16:30 – Train (Mainly Boxing training)

18:30 – High Protein and mid Carb meal (Fish or chicken or steak etc with pasta / veg etc)
Flaxseed

21:00 – Met-Rx Protein shake

PS - As mentioned, my training is mainly Boxing training (bagwork, skipping, using own body as weights, resistance band and light weights etc)

Rip it to shreds folks and let me know what I need to do!

    you dont need any supps

    Because my diet is good?
Because my training isn’t that intense?
Because I don’t need it for my goals?

    All of the above???

In general, you dont need supps for gaining muscle and such if a good diet is there.

Ill leave it to someone else to mod your diet, looks healthy but just not enough protein or carbs.

If you can, it would be easier for someone to help you if you give the weight of food each meal, i.e. chicken for 200g or use calorie king to work out how much protein is in 200g chicken or 100g beef and so on.

Hazard a touch of narcissism without shame.
There is no room for junk food in any diet whatsoever, leave the junk in the bin.

THe emphasis is on the word "Need". You don't need them, they have benefits but if you have a decent diet then a lack of supplements won't ruin you.
