Norwich rugby club's gym

Anyone on here a member of this gym??

Iam looking for a new gym in norwich have been and looked around the so called normal trendy places.  IV also been to bodyrush, what looks like it could be winner for me apart from the parking issue.  Anyway iv been trying to find out a bit more about the norwich rugby clubs gym, as its cheap as chips and open 24/7 as you get your own key. Both of which are great considering i have a baby on the way and its on my side of the city aswell.

But there is very little information on the net about it.  So was wondering if any MT members used it and could give me some more information contact detail's etc.

Being a mile from my house when I'm at home I've trained there for about 6 years on and off. Outstanding gym. Every piece of kit you could possible want for £12 a month with 24/7 access. What's there not to love? Has dbells going up to 50's, plenty of benches, lots of oly bars and oly weights, and a power-rack and squat rack as well as a good selection of machines (which I never use mind).

I train at bodyrush and I've heard about the rugby club gym. Some of the kit's a bit ancient  from what I've been told, but it sounds like a no-frills kinda gym. Might check it out if it's getting some good reviews.

The kit is definitely no more ancient than bodyrush's. In fact most of the kit is miles newer.

Oh really? Might have a look-see at some point. Where abouts is it? Bodyrush is only 2 miles down the road from me but I'm on placement in Beccles & Yarmouth at the moment so if I can avoid traffic going into Norwich to train then it might be better.

You will definitely avoid the traffic, and parking is plentiful and free too. It's to the north, very near the big tesco there.

Sweet. Looks like theres two clubs up that way, is it the 'rugby football club' or 'rugby union club'? Both are within earshot of Sprowston it looks like.

Sillynarbie, how did you go about joining?  I went there the other day to have a look around etc, no one around to speak to and could'nt see any contact details on the gym door or was i just being blind?  Would it be possible if you could get some contact information for me please?

Joining is the hardest part - you have to go around 5-6pm and just ask someone in the gym if there's a committee member around. If so, you're in luck, if not, come back another day. A bit annoying but once you're signed up it's all good.  Also if you look on the noticeboards around the gym one of them will have the phone numbers of the committee members.
