Not Happy.. unable to train!!

been training pretty solid for past year and was quite happy with progress i was making, but then dec 2010 i started to feel a niggle in my elbows..

Cut long story short it turns out i have got tennis elbow and have now been out of training for around 5 weeks.. I have had complete rest in this time no training, no work etc and elbows now feel near on 100%.

I go back work monday this week and after my shift i get real bad pain in my right wrist, worked tues and wednesday and by wednesday morning the pain is unbearable!!

Trip down to A&E to be told its a swollen tendon in my wrist and im now to rest it untill it heals!! So it looks like another 3-4 weeks out of training. Im worried i will lose my gains that i have made and also worried about putting on weight whilst being sat at home!!

Could i take this oppurtunity to try cutting my fat % down...

I had to stop MMA for the same reason and it flairs up big time every now and then.  Last time had to have 2 power anti-inflamtory shots in there and they hurt more than the tendon trouble.

Now I use an elbow support and bang a lot of cissus down me and it's fine.  Can train as normal, well no MMA but weights are good to go.

I'm 95% sure i've got carpal tunnel, in both arms/hands, but I'm putting off going to the DR's as I don't want to be told that I can't train, or have an operation that stops me from training for a large period of time :/

What is it with this tendonitis lately? Seen a few on here that have got it and I've just developed it in my right wrist (not from what you think) lol. It's murder, nothing helping it and I'm obviously going to just need to rest it.

It is very rare that I am totally pain/niggle free. Either my knees, shins splints (running), feet, elbows, triceps, palms (boxing) or lower back. Not DOMS btw!

I used to take time off or take it easy for all of the above but I have realised it is pointless. I just ignore and train through it and it goes away by itself. In fact I'd go as far to say as training through it has helped with recovery time.

Yours may be more serious though.
