Nuts overrated?

Nuts are calorie dense, contain incomplete aminos and are rich in omega 6.

Why are we eating so many?

The rich in omega 6 part? The calorie dense part? 2 reasons there!

most people have an omega 3: omega 6 imbalance, so it's usually beneficial to limit the 6 and eat more 3s.  Calorie dense?  I don't see how that's good unless you're bulking.

I don't , 10g or so of almond butter per day for me.

If it's fitting in with your macros shouldn't really matter, but if on top and you keep eating one after the other, then like anything you'll gain some unwanted fat.

If you love something let it go,if it comes back to you it's yours,if it doesn't it never was.

yeah but I'd still watch the omega levels even IIFYM.  You have to use some common sense with where you're getting those macros.

They taste good, and are touted as a health food so people think they have free will to eat nuts with no drawback.

Most people lack O3 in their diets so nuts aren't to blame for this.

Nuts are about as natural as foods come. Plenty of nutrition. A handful will do though.

Same applies for fruit, vegetables and water.

Too easy to eat too many of them if they're shelled, so I tend to buy them unshelled. Good grip workout, cracking those f****** Brazils.

I agree to a certain extent with the OP.  The fats are not all that, but it depends on the type of nuts (walnuts have a better 3:6 ratio).  For me, the main attraction is the handy calories, especially when controlling carbs.  Easy to grab a handful of nuts or add a spoonful of nut butter to shakes and snacks.

If you don't want the calories then you would be better getting your micro nutrients elsewhere.
