OH squat PB, any good?

Tonight me and JakeP who also posts on here went and maxed out our overhead squats to see where we are at the start of our new workout. I got a 145 squat @ 175 bw. I hear that 1 rep of bw is supposed to be an accomplishment; but is that any good? Its not much i know, but i was kinda proud of it [:I], ive only trained the move about 6 times now.

is that pounds or kg?? either way, it is good that you can get near your bw on the OHsquat.

how far down do you go [ass2graas or parallel?] i do the former.

can get around 45kg for 3x6 with good form now, bodyweight 150lb

Is this where you press weight overhead , then squat down ...if so they are very awkward. I tried them wobbling around a bit. I would say bodyweight
with these is very good. Pressing bodyweight overhead is an accomplishment in itself IMO.

You don't have to press it overhead mate, biut yes it is overhead at arms length when you squat.

    Yes, good going there mate.

I am going to start overhead squating seriously soon. I have mucked about with it before yet never tried more than 60kg (132 lbs) and that was hard enough![xx(]

Ya, it was ass to ankles. The only way to squat ... actually I usually go down that far cause I kinda fall into it lol. Ill sink into rock bottom then curse and grunt trying to get out, haha. The road to bodyweight is in sight!... after that, 15x
