This guy obviously isn't training to be excellent at the olympic movents so it probably isn't a great idea for people who compete to get out any rubber bands any time soon...

    Definately has comedy appeal though.

PS what the "F" is that sitting down on a bench half squat all about!!

    Some mothers will 'ave 'em

If there was anything in it the old Eastern Bloc countries would have done it about 30 years ago. I think this Travis Mash fella has been a powerlifter in the past and is trying to transfer some of the training techniques. It's not for me!!!

I dont quite get it. I've seen this vid before and i'm still perplex.
The chain stuff will be lighter in a full clean squat position yet heavier when standing back up, this i can understand.
However it doesnt work like that in real life. My coach would deadlift my arms out of their sockets if i were to try this at my gym
    Some nice poundage there though.

I totally agree with this. Actually Travis Mash is still a powerlifter but used to be a weightlifter. It's typical Louie Simmons nonsense - the guy thinks that he's got the best ideas about everything and if he were training snooker players he'd probably have them cueing with bands and chains. But a lot of people take everything he says as gospel.
