OLYMPIC WRESTLING ROUTINE HELP?

guys i need a routine for olympic wrestling. you more or less strength, power, speed and endurance for this sport. anybody got any ideas for a good weights routine?

atm i am doing a four day split of:
DAY1 : CHEST + TRICEPS + ABS
DAY2: LEGS (am) + WRESTLING PRACTISE (pm)
DAY3 : REST OR ACTIVE RECOVERY
DAY4 : DELTS + TRAPS + ABS
DAY5: BACK + BICEPS
DAYS6+7: OFF

in the routine above i am mainly sticking to compound moves and working in reps of 1-7, sets depend. recovery time couple of mins.

OK, you are thinking lke a bodybuider.

Am I wrong in thinking you actually only wrestle one day a week? If so its obvious you are not very serious about wrestling.

If you're only wrestling once a week, and not competitively, then continue training like a bodybuilder if that's what you want.

The fact that you are wrestling once a week and doing weights four times a week suggests that the weights are more important than the wrestling?

I could tailor a routine specific to wrestling, but tbh, if you are only doing the wrestling for a bit of fun then I don't see the point!

    Day 1)

    Powerclean and Push Press
    Deadlift
    Chins

    Day 2)

    Squat
    Bench
    Rows

Heavy ab work where appropriate. Get a good coach to show you how to do the lifts properly (i.e. go to an olympic lifting gym or powerlifting gym)..

Variations on routines are endless, most important thing is to bust your ass on the basic exercises.

Rep ranges in the 3-5 rep range, with a decent amount of sets. i.e. work up to a heavy triple, or do 5x5 on the same weight etc.

    Where do you train wrestling?
