ON 100% Whey
Thanks to the ON reps on here, hilly & ryzo I have been able to sample Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey. I thought it only fair that I write a few lines about my findings.
I became interested in this product after trying a chocolate sample with Mens Fitness magazine and then reading up on the awards it has won in the past few years. It's said to be an expensive Whey product but this is a case of 'you get what you pay for' as it has 24g of protein per serving with 4g of Glutamine and 5.5g of BCAA's. I've also found a supps company selling a large bag for £63 giving you 155 servings and that aint bad value for money.
You don't require much milk or water to mix with this product and it's classed as 'instantized' (didn't even know the word existed) which basically means you only have to flick your wrist when holding the shaker and it's mixed, no kidding.
The consistency of the drink is nothing I've experienced before, it's very thin and leaves virtually no residue on the shaker/blender or glass. I think this shows that there are no cheap bulking agents or fillers present.
I've tried chocolate and now strawberry, chocolate was nice but strawberry was exceptional, a real surprise for me as I favour chocolate usually. I'm told that choc mint is the best flavour but rocky road is also very popular.
Very impressed with this so far and I like the idea of the 16 or so flavours to keep you interested.
I just need to try rocky road before I commit to a large bag.
