Oats or Ready Brek

right what one do you prefer to shovel down your throat?

they are both the same on nutritional nutrients, but ready brek is a lot easier to mix in a shake/home-made weight gainer

i love them both, but what do you prefer?

hey iam not dissing oats...iam Scottish i was born in a vat of the stuff!! i just saying that ready brek, GI is the same as oats cos they are oats just ground up with added vit & min, are easier to use in a shake because if you don't have a grinder or blender and you normal oats it is very lumpy etc while ready brek mixes really well with a fork

Ready brek shaked up in a shaker, hmmmm. Will have to give that a try.

There have been many a time I have been in a rush and needed to drink my porridge and whey. If it makes it less lumpy then I will be all for it. But only for that reason.......

what is sooooo wrong with original ready brek?? it is pure oats, no sugar added all they do it add vit and mineral to it for kids apart from that it is the exact same as pure oats

Think it has got a higher GI mate .. Isn't it processed and then they add Letchin as well to make it instant ? certainly thats what they do to that Oats so simple stuff and that has a lot higher GI than good ole std Oats

Im a ready brek man myself and yeah I know its made for kids but its so much easier to make in the morning when your running late for work (which is everyday lol). I prefer it cold and you cant mix oats with milk or water cold.

Is there a big difference between brek and oats?

Scottishstu - is ready brek full of salt then - Dont like the sound of that!!!
