Off putting

Dont it put you off when people are watching you?
This week iv had 2 awful workouts because people were watching me.
Now i totally agree every member of my gym has as much right to be there as i etc...and i dont mind at all sharin equipment at busy periods etc...
However there were 3 people in the gym the other day.
One was a new face, and you can just tell they're new to the gym as they have no routine etc.
Anyway i was doing my db bench presses, sat up as you do when resting. Out of no where this new chap sits on the bench im sitting on and knocks out 10 ez bar bicep curls, puts the weights down and sits there staring at me.
I thought it was one of them wind ups on tv to begin with, anyway he shows no sign of getting off, so i say, sorry dear im gonna need to lay back a min just while ya restin, he gets off, watches me huffin and puffin then walks off.
I did laugh at it as it was just like somethin you see on 4non blondes show or something.
Yesterday was my back day, another young lad who iv spoken to a few times says hello, tells me about some bet he's got, and how he tried to lift the weights id left behind a few weeks ago etc.... All this while im loadin the bar to do my shrugs.
Anyway i position myself, and he says oh iv got to see this!
Now i was under pressure. I had to shrug wivout pulling a strained face!
How bad does it put you off if youre being watched.... Or do you blatantly stare and that big bloke/woman?

I'd hazard a guess and say some sort of preacher curls.

    lmao!

Billybobs, you're female aren't you? If so then that answers the question there and then!

I have days when guys in the gym just seem to want to watch you. It's a fascination with ladies being in the all-men zone. Sounds like you're probably lifting more than some of them too, they'll get over it!!

No it was not any kind of preacher curl.
That also what made the whole situation amusing.
Not only did he have the balls to come sit on the bench i was using without asking if its ok <even tho there was a bench spare fairly near by>, he also had the the balls to curl 10kg on the ez bar right behind me!

Ah I remember I did see something wierd once and it's very appropriate to billybobs tale.

2 guys were training, one was doing curls, the other spotting him. All seems perfectly normal right?

Except they were both sat down on a bench and one was behind the other helping to lift each dumbbell, almost like they were spooning each other in a seated position.

Ha that made me chuckle just thinking about it again
