****** Official Cinema Thread *******

I think one of these is a good idea.

Post up what you've seen recently or what you hope to go see and your thoughts.

(no spoilers please)

At the weekend I went to see Faster with Dwayne Johnson a.k.a The Rock, it wasnt great, typical him in it, going on a killing spree in revenge at the guys that killed his brother, not much of a story to it but easy to watch on a Sunday afternoon none the less.

saw sucker punch today. Wasnt what we thought. Thought it would be about kids and harry potter style fantasy. In reality it was slutty tramps in minimal clothing with  computer game style fights and lots of noise and weapons. Obviously i hated it and he LOVED it!!!!!

I'd like to watch Battle: LA and Source Code. Cinema has largely been guff this year. Not a lot of investors are happy to take the plunge on new concepts. Expect plenty of sequels of ok films...

I thought Battle LA was a little bit pony to be honest. When i saw the trailers i couldnt wait...was disappointed!

Sucker Punch was a Nonce's film.  Horrible, Pedo's dream film while pretending to be art and stylish.  All in all SH!t.

I'm avidly waiting for Paul to arrive in Australia. I'm a big fan of Pagg and Frost. Loved Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. I hear Paul is a bit more mainstream to get the Hollywood money. I'm hoping that I'll still love it.

Battle LA was a bit of a letdown I thought. Limitless is a great film and well worth watching.

I really enjoyed battle LA to be honest... not exactly cerebral but it was good entertainment.
Miles better than Skyline, which was a load of crap if you ask me.. could have been soooo much more!

going to see suckerpunch this sunday. my fiancee was the one who said she wanted to go.. so don't blame me! :)

Battle La was fun, but I hate when they have a big world invasion, they feel they have to limit the attacks firstly on the US (getting jsut stupid that no one else exists), and then it zeros the scale down again by following about 7 characters "making a run for it". If they are going to do this then give it a REAL sence of scale.

Limitless was good if not a better film to watch, but again had a few loose ends and pointless filler (having to borrow a measly 100k from a loanshark when your the cleverest person in the world?...really?).

Well... saw suckerpunch yesterday, and I really enjoyed it.

Think I fell in love with "Amber" though. :)

Great effects, you just have to take it with a pinch of salt, although i did find the first 10 minutes or so pretty confusing!

Saw Fast and Furious 5 last night.

It was alright, lots of action, fights, fast cars, not much story to it. Set in the slums of Rio. Seeing Vin Diesel and The Rock go at it was cool.

So this was some sort of low budget gay porn version?

    Recently i have seen

Rio good film for all ages really.

Hop not so good looked good in the trailer, but the trailer had every funny bit in so not much else to come from the film really.

Fast and furious 5, not so much about the cars but more of just an action film really enjoyable film.

Source Code, really good film enjoyed it right from the off.

Hopefully going to see thor tomorrow so can report back that then.
