Impressed you ground that one out, even knowing that you must have got it by the title, I still had my doubt for a moment LOL

A BW strict press is a very good benchmark, above it is pretty impressive. Well done mate.

It is a lot of weight to be pressing but I'd be lying if I said that backward lean wasn't a bit of a cheat. It's the reason why the press was originally dropped as a competitive lift and replaced with the bench press, guys were already doing standing bech presses as it was.

There has to be some backward lean to get the head out of the way surely?!

Thanks a lot gents 😃 Uriel I was under the assumption that the press was swapped with the jerk not the bench press? My technique isn't great pal but the bar starts on my shoulders and there is zero leg drive. Billy I'm not to sure about strict press strength to bench conversion, as I have done any flat bench for around 6 months now. Incline bench is coming along nicely though.

Well done. I was a few kilo's heavier when I managed this and bodyweight is deffo a big factor in the strict press IMO.

No biggie like, there are a lot worse things for you than using steroids, I mean I probably shouldn't have been smoking crack or getting into bar fights at your age TBH  - drab4
