Might sound obvious, and apologies if you already well aware of this, but are you grasping the bar in the palm of your hands or are you wrapping fingers around then closing your palm onto it?

I'm obviously no strength athlete but this has helped stopping me rip callouses constantly and is reputedly better for grip strength (not that you need any help there!)

The Axle is thicker that a can of soda. You have no choice but to grip open handed, especially when you're a DOH gimp like me. When you fight against the grip slipping the harsh knurling will gladly show you whose boss..lol

A normal BB I can wrap my hand around without causing too much discomfort on the 'wound'

Fair enough mate. I was talking about a normal bar. Guessing axle is the one causing you problems then!

Pretty full on weekend, lots of family down and training time was a luxury. Got in yesterday and had a pretty good hour.

BENCH:

5 x 50
5 x 60
5 x 70
5 x 80
5 x 90
1 x 100
1 x 100
1 x 100
1 x 100
1 x 100

Pretty solid singles. I was quite happy with that as I've picked up a funny old pain in my right elbow, I did have a few concerns as I went heavier but depsite being uncomfortable they went up ok.

PAUSED SQUATS:

3 x 60
3 x 60
3 x 60
3 X 60
3 X 60
1 X 70
1 X 80
1 X 90
1 X 100

Ass to mother funking grass with a nice big pause. No trouble at all. Today I feel like crying with the DOMS that have crept up.

S8 BAR PUSHDOWNS:

15 x 30kg
15 x 30kg
15 x 30kg
15 x 30kg

FACEPULLS:

15 x 20kg
15 x 20kg
15 x 20kg
15 x 20kg

VBAR PUSHDOWNS:

15 x 40kg
15 x 40kg
15 x 40kg
15 x 40kg

As said I feel pretty beat up today, first squats in a while and my buttocks feel abused. I'll try and catch up throughout the day.
