Try it as he wrote it first, and then change it as you see it will fit you. Yeah he put a lot of time into it, and I gained 30 lbs on it and countless poundages on my lifts before I got hurt. It's a great routine but it's not the only one. See how your body reacts to the style of training and then change if need be.
