Opposing muscle groups?

Well, which routine would be better for building muscle?

ROUTINE 1

Workout 1 - Legs + Abs
Workout 2 - Back + Biceps
Workout 3 - Chest + Triceps

OR...

ROUTINE 2
Workout 1 - Biceps + Chest
Workout 2 - Back + Triceps
Workout 3 - Legs + Shoulders + Abs

I have heard that doing opposing bodyparts is better? (i.e. the second routine)
Can you tell me which would be better + a reason?

Which would be better for muscle gains? ? ? No idea, you dont mention rep ranges, sets, or what your diet is like.

Which routine would i personally choose from the 2 above? ? ? It would be option 1 with a shoulders day in there too.
