Origin Test...

Afternoon all, have just got back from having an Origin Test done, with TT also having his done too.

I am just basically reviewing it, as i have always wanted to have feedback on it in the past.

I cannot speak highly enough of it really, it gives you a great base to start from and couple the results with a good diet and training regime and i would say you can almost guarantee results.

You basically have to fast from the night before, and have the tests done on an empty stomach, which is hard when you are usedto eating every 2.5 to 3 hours.

I did the VO2 max test as well and really pushed myself, i think the highest heart rate reading i got from the machine was 195, and it was a tough all out for the last 10 seconds.

It is such a valuable tool though, as today, it was a bit of an eye-opener, my RMR was higher than what i thought it would be, and also the results from the actual test was very interesting as to which sorts of fuels i burn at different levels of exercising at different heart rates, it went against what i was initially thinking it would be, but again, this is another reason why it is a great test if you can have it done.

    Well worthwhile in my opinion.

    Awesome piece of equipment.

They thought someone was stood behind TT when they saw him today, considering he has put on 40 Kilos since his last visit.

I think it was sweat from when you were on the bike and the increase in heart rate and blood pressure when you saw that bird.

Nice one. Definatly rate the test too. Ill be getting another done next year this time with the VO2 one. I wouldnt mind buying the equipment....seems like a useful thing to have....just the price tag of 8k (I think it was) kinda means alot of saving.

    Where is the new gym?
