Out of training have put on weight!! Help
OK I have been lazy for the last year, I went on holiday last week and looked at myself in the mirror and thought, no way I look like a fat git. I used to be overweight and never went to the gym then I got into training, lost loads of weight and built up some good muscle. The muscle bulk still seems to be there but my gut and chest are flabby.
I have still been going probably once a week for some weights but with no set objectives and I have been drinking loads.
This is what I am thinking of doing (any comments/advice would be good as I need a kick up the arse)
I am going to sort out my diet, high protein, four/five sensible low fat, low carb meals a day etc. start back on the weights and just do a bit more CV work to try and shift a bit of that fat.....oh yeah and I am only going to drink alcohol one night a week instead of seven!
Weight days will be Mon night, Weds night, Sat morning and I am going to try and swim Tues mornings and play squash at least twice a week as well.
I am also thinking of signing up for a half marathon or something to give me a set objective for weight loss, the muscle gains I guess will slowly take over the weight loss and I can then drop the CV down to once a week and whenever I play squash and get into some hardcore reps again.......??
