Awoke to immense pain this morning, it took me around 10 minutes to get my arse out of bed, back, abs, glutes, hamstrings all in intense pain and triceps still sore from Monday - benching later and maybe try out some sandbag rowing after if I can handle it!

Just won game of life, kicked the kids ass!


It feels pain. Maybe it is human?!


I maybe part Ox but I do feel pain Doc, today especially, just been out on a job though and loosened up a tad, this morning I can honestly say I've never been in so much pain!

Cheers Kian, only going to be 531 for comp grip bench plus some reverse band work and possibly sandbag rows but that depends on my back tbh.
 
Tomorrows session is a huge overhead session though :)

Now then Ox, on the hunt for skipload foods... And omfg, there's some food out there to be looking forward to, warburtons fruity loaf, fak! Cereal bars galore and things like weight watchers carrot cake all fitting in nicely!... I'm hoping some of the tortilla wrap type breads are good as the protein meal will go nicely along with some sweet chilli sauce!... Lol, I'm thinking about it too much haha

Lol! Theres lots of nice stuff bud - Betty Crocker cake mixes made with sprite are awesome! Those warburtons fruity loaves are very tasty too! Pretty much the whole of the healthy eating range in Tescos is up for grabs too!
 
My personal favourites are Lucky Charm kids cereal, home made flap jacks, home made pizza's - sweet ones too!, rice pudding with jam, pic n mix, toffee popcorn, marshmallows..the list goes on and on!

Just a quick session today, wasn't expecting much as triceps very sore still from Tuesday so kept total volume low.

Pretty pleased with that lot, banged out very quick too. Triceps were so sore I could barely straighten my arm but loosened off ok. On the 531 I think I had 12 maybe 13 there but decided not to go to failure straight off and get some rest pause sets in. The straight weight work after felt strong and i'm managing to get tighter under the bar and its feeling very good. Onto reverse band work and 170kg x 2 felt easy so decided to try to beat my max, 285kg popped up fairly nice, slight grind out but was strong enough, 190 not far away, got some good doubles done after before taking them off and reverting back to my 531 top weight for today and it was getting tough by then but ground more reps out. For a 5's week on 2nd cycle that's not too bad.
 
I left it there for today as my backs still very sore so giving it time to heal.
 
I have noticed that since starting intensive overhead work both my shoulders have improved to the point they are now pain free :) can only help benching, those reps today put me on around my 145kg max but that max was fresh and after a ton of benching prioritisation so I think there is improvement, thinking 150 maybe there by xmas then knuckle down to edge 160 by spring :)
 
Decent quick session, back to proper big session tomorrow - big overhead session planned, thunderstorms permitting :)

Cheers Doc not bad for a crap presser and a crap repper, its going up ok.
 
You can see why reps have to help, with a 145kg max on the first 531 cycle I got just 8 reps with 102.5kg, up to 105kg x 11/13 now so its building fast - its got to help my max and more importantly my overhead.

I am trying to mate..be a little sensible that is and I think its working!
 
Yeah I wasn't holding out any hope as my tris were trashed already but oddly all soreness gone now??!!

Cam only be a good thing eh mate? Guess its like training a bodypart light to flush blood into the area when sore.
