That 180kg looked way to easy to be a PB lol you need to start putting some work in mate.

In all seriousness excellent pressing and all the best for your mum mate.

Try to get some sleep mate. I know it sucks feeling like there's nothing you can do, but at the very least you can be there for her even if she doesn't know it. Still need to look after yourself bud.

Cracking training though!

Cheers for the support lads, really appreciate it.

Had a bit of a breakdown on Saturday, things really got to a point I couldn't handle things anymore, thankfully my partner was with me and things improved quickly, she really has made all the difference this weekend and was strong when I couldn't be, feeling much better now, almost back to my old self.

She also gave me a  full body sports massage Saturday and that always helps too, then just had a massively chilled weekend. Apart from client check ins and sorting one client plan out we just chilled and watched films and sorted the horses...again a little animal therapy always helps me.

Stayed an extra night last night and went to bed very early and travelled back at 4 this morning ready for work at 7, feeling so much better today, hopefully I can keep that going.

Anyways, first work session done then into the gym feeling pretty good.

Session 1

Bench Press

60kg x 10
80kg x 10
100kg x 10
120kg x 5
140kg x 3
160kg x 1
185kg x 2 Rep PB
200kg x 1 NEGATIVE REP
160kg x 6 rep pb
160kg x 5

Feeling really good today, warm ups were fast, felt like I could have thrown the 140 they were so fast. Wasn;t sure on what to go with today so decided to try a new double pb and it went smoothly, a possible 3rd there I think, felt light in the hands. After the double I decided to do a 200kg negative rep, felt pretty light on the unrack (thankyou reverse band work) and didn't feel horrendous on the negative. I then re racked it and stripped weight to 160 and nailed 6 reps the a 5 rep with 160kg...it felt very light after the 200 negative.

Incline Bench Low To High Cable Flyes

45kg x 12 rep pb
45kg x 8

Building up nicely, chest pumps very well from these.

Incline Hammer Press Against Band

80kg + Purple Band x 10
90kg + Purple Band x 6 rep pb

Peak contraction on these is huge, burns like mad. A very tough movement with the band but very effective.

Incline Paused Poliquin Flyes

27kg x 8 rep pb
27kg x 8

Nice tight, controlled reps and the pause on the stretch feels really good. Chest wrecked by this point.

Mid Point Paused Lying Hamstring Curls

65kg x 12 rep pb
75kg x 6 rep pb
75kg x 5
75kg x 5

These pump hamstrings like mad, very effective done with the pause.

Seated Calf Raise

80kg x 7 rep pb
80kg x 5
80kg x 5
80kg x 4

Increases on last week and calves feeling it, decent reps.

And that was that, great session and really enjoyed it, hopefully I can maintain a positive mindset this week and continue moving forwards.

Sometimes you've just got to let it out mate, glad you did and had support while vulnerable.

Awesome lifting as ever.  Whatever else is going on in your lift, it's not had an impact on your lifts at all.

100% mate...just glad she was there, 1 in a million she is, the support makes such a difference.

Thanks mate, 200kg closing in now and with the bodybuilding side of things my chest is really coming up with 3x a week training it.

Cheers Jay, yes they make a huge difference mate, thanks bud :)

Todays session, went ok, going through the motions a little today, very very cold in the gym and I was feeling a little creaky, got some warm ups going and blood moving and just treated it like a job that needed doing today.

Safety Squat Bar Squats

65kg x 10
105kg x 5
125kg x 5
150kg x 5
170kg x 2
190kg x 1

Moved working sets up 5kg and moved ok, felt a little off today, I think because I was so cold but moved ok, building back ok, still pretty easy for now.

Belt Squats

135kg x 7 rep pb
135kg x 6
135kg x 6

All sets up on last week, moved well.

Adductor Machine

103kg x 15 rep pb
111kg x 8 rep pb
111kg x 8

Again reps and weight up well.

Seated Overhead Dead Press

60kg x 10
80kg x 5
100kg x 3
125kg x 1 PB
112.5kg x 3 rep pb

Up again, moved well, lockout strength building well, will move to multiple rep sets next time to close in on 130kg+

Seated Incline Cuffed Cable Lateral Raise

30kg a side x 12 rep pb
25kg a side x 23 rep pb

Starting to be brutal...set up is tough but once in the groove they move so well and the pump is crazy.

Lying Side Incline One Arm Cuffed Lateral Raise

32.5kg a side x 15 rep pb
35kg a side x 12 rep pb

Big increases on last week, side delts burning.

Behind Back Cable Curls

47.5kg x 9 rep pb
47.5kg x 7
40kg x 8

2.5kg and reps matched, moving well.

Reverse EZ Pressdown

50kg x 12 rep pb
35kg x 15

Tough on wrists and elbows, may need to sub out.

Lying EZ Cable Curls

35kg x 12
40kg x 8 rep pb
40kg x 7

Biceps feeling it by now but another increase on log book.

Praying Pressdowns

57.5kg x 12 rep pb
60kg x 8 rep pb

About the only pressdown movement my elbows can handle it would seem, weight going up well.

Job done.
