Looking solid as ever mate. Lat sounds healed too.

Glad you have the missus to help you when you’re feeling low. You have a lot on your plate on the family and work front it’s important to take some time out now and again.

Thanks mate, its certainly nearly there I think.

Yes she makes a massive difference bud, i'd have sunk lately without her I think. Had a really nice chilled weekend...beach walk, nice food, few ciders watching the rugby and cinema today :) Feeling much more chilled, for now at least :)

Been chatting today and possibly going to be getting myself a bodybuilding coach. I think I can swing funds to allow for it. Hopefully I can go ahead and free my time up to follow a plan I don't have to think about and just do it and concentrate on my clients. I think it will help me to be a better coach too.

Will be a drastic change up but I think its probably a wise move to take, will see what this week brings.

Cheers mate, yup completely agree mate :)

Ok todays session, went ok, not quite to plan but was ok, still struggling with sleep but felt pretty refreshed today.

Session 1

Bench Press

60kg x 10
80kg x 10
100kg x 10
120kg x 5
140kg x 1
155kg x 1
170kg x 1
190kg x 1f2
160kg x 5
160kg x 5
160kg x 5

Well a tad annoying, first rep of 190kg moved the best this kind of weight ever has, lost my bloody line on rep 2 and lost it...without doubt that was there if I had got my line :( Never mind was happy with speed of that first rep :) I have a 195-197.5kg there now maybe 200kg on a good day, if shoulders working. Backed off and repped 160kg and got a nice pumps going, minimal rest between sets.

Incline Bench Low To High Cable Flyes

47.5kg x 8 rep pb
47.5kg x 7

Weight up this week, reps down though. Pump from these is crazy.

Incline Hammer Press

90kg + purple band x 9 rep pb
95kg + purple band x 6 rep pb

Brutal, the pump from these is mad, such a game changer adding the band, decent increases and log book beaten.

Standing High Cable Flyes

35kg x 20
35kg x 20

Immensely painful! Pumps were crazy, felt very good.

Mid Point Paused Lying Leg Curls

75kg x 8 rep pb
75kg x 7
70kg x 8
65kg x 8

Love these, the pause makes such a difference, really helps focus on hamstrings, again crazy pumps and log book beaten again.

Seated Calf Raise

80kg x 8 rep pb
80kg x 6
80kg x 5
80kg x 5 volume pb

Log book beaten, tough, huge rom and held the stretch at the bottom each rep, very painful.

Abs

Quick ab rotation of 4 movement.

Done.

Good idea on the coach mate - even the experts need help. Although will you be able to not go for the heavy PB's or try to factor that in the plan?

Unlucky for the 190 mate - 1st rep moved beautifully.

Make me stronger!

Great news on the coach. Just what you need going into your first comp.

But now what would you do if they told you to drop deadlifts? And maxing? Would you be able to do exactly as asked?

Nice fast 190 mate!

Nice fast 190 mate!

Thanks mate.

Lol, well I've not deadlifted in weeks tbh so not concerned. I am ready to drop the very heavy stuff and fully focus on making myself look the best I ever have. I will do precisely what I am told, like I expect from my clients, and trust In his ideas.

I'm committed to being a bodybuilder now and I want to put everything I have in to it. My body is slowly telling me its time to back away from the very heavy things anyways and a change is as good as a rest lol.

The time has come to step up and make the change...I just need to ensure I have plenty of powerlifters and strongmen to coach...i'll live my dreams out through them lol!

Wise decision with regards to getting a coach on board, will be interesting to see how it pans out.
