Really not motivated for todays session at all...struggling with focus today...headache and generally wanting to be anywhere but the gym but got a decent session in...no pre workout...no caffeine...morning bodyweight of 99.2kg.

All went well despite feeling sleepy and not really with it...115kg work sets felt like an empty bar...banged out with 45-60 sec rests easily. 130kg x 5 was a tad more taxing but no real issue and a comfy double on 3 plates after. Thought i'd try some dead bench having not done them for over a year I think. 140kg x 3 was easy and thought i'd throw on 152.5kg as 150 was a very tough peaked best on this movement last time I did these, moved a tad slow but never I doubt.
 
Seated Behind Head Smith Press - 90 sec rests

65kg x 7 total rep/weight pb
 
Well despite lack of conviction today, strength once again up...60 x 12 was best last week...put 5kg onto that today and all sets felt strong...decent pump in delts.
 
Wide Grip EZ Upright Row - 90 sec rests

Dumbbell Lateral Raise - 90 sec rests

Some quick pump sets for side laterals.

Again strength on the up...10 reps earlier in the week was  to failure...a comfy 12 today. Very solid sets and biceps really feeling it.
 
Seated Viking Press - 90 sec rests

Got some pressing volume in to finish...feels very good on elbows and shoulder...great way to finish.
 
Cardio
 
20 mins treadmill...140bpm
 
Upped speed slightly, felt alright if dull as ever but it will help my lifting so worth it.
 
And that was that..glad to be done to be honest, may not be able to make Fridays session due to hospital visit but will play that by ear.

I always maintain these sorts of session end out being the best ones as you genuinely have to get more psyched up for the event rather than strolling thru it all.... nice work, dead bench moving great

You got a lot going bud and i know you said a few posts ago you were attacking this cruise harder then your blast I just don't think that is sustainable long terms. Cruises should be about solidifying gains.. Also about letting body and more importantly mind have a rest. You can't run a car non stop in the red. You can't run a super-car non stop in the red either. Sometimes you have to do some village driving!

Animal just echoed what I was thinking as I read your sessions. Some awesome lifting mate but I don't usually read stuff about lat niggles and back being shot. You are cruising now.

Cheers all....I am being very careful how I feel but this is how I have always trained...I can't not push but I am listening to my body and cutting back if needed. I am not pushing huge increases in strength over this summer...more bedding in the gains I have made and if possible yes push on a little but my focus is fitness and feeling good. Hopefully after this stressful week is over I can get back to some normality :)
 
First hospital appointment went well, back again tomorrow so there will be no time for my session so went today. I cut back on total volume as I am very low on sleep due to alarm call outs at work last night and had barely eaten today due to travelling and being at the hospital for hours but got in a got a decent session banged out...was feeling good considering but was still careful with what I did. Gym full of c0ckwombles at this time of night though :( lol!

Warm ups felt a little slow and struggled to get my position but the 260kg felt good...more there but being careful due to todays circumstances. 305kg moved ok, a little slower than I would have liked but not bad. Dropped to 240kg and did 15 rep cardio...again more there. Had to quit vids after the max as gym was packed...would hate to train at this time often :( Decent work here.

Again kept volume low as intensity fairly high...all moved easy enough, no issues.

Feels awesome on this new set up...massive cramp and burn in rear delts, felt really good, can still feel them now.
