Proper deep tissue work will cause trauma and you had a fair bit of it the other day, add the manual work hindering recovery and you have a double whammy there


Never really effected me before...tbh I feel its mainly the manual labour...had another afternoon of it today. Hot Epsom salt bath just I am hoping will help...only bench tomorrow though.

Lol...meaning it won't effect my lifting as much...bloody love benching, probably more than deadlifting at the moment!

Tough session again today...back still tight and sciatica been triggered from all the manual work again...massage again this weekend will sort but for now just need to get on with it.

Mmm, very average but struggling to get into position on bench due to sciatica. Got some reps in though so not all bad I guess.
 
Weight Hung Bench
 
40kg x 12
60kg x 10
80kg x 12
80kg x 10
80kg x 9
 
Weight includes bar not just hung weight. Not the best of set ups on this bench but damn its still brutal, so hard to put any weight on at all, just destroys the entire upper body...imo a great bodybuilding movement too, the pump is just nuts!
 
Incline Cable Flyes

27.5kg x 15 rep pb
 
Forgot what an awesome movement this is...unlike dumbbells it doesn't hurt my shoulders at all and the constant tension feels awesome, every set pumped more and more.
 
Cable Side Laterals

17.5kg x 8 rep pb
15kg x 15 volume pb
 
Strength on the up and as always with cables utterly strict, side delts popping well, so so painful.
 
Machine Preacher Curls

Bicep strength going a little nutty...definite growth there now too, t shirts tighter on arms and getting many remarks on how big they are, forearms too..thats the banded deads doing that. Feeding my inner bro here lol.
 
Straight Bar Pressdowns

Not keen on pressdowns at all but trying to bring them up as best I can.
 
And that was that, fairly average session but got some good rep work in. All hopefully back to normal next week and back on course.

I do love earthquake pressing! Such a total body movement having to brace everything. Im doing some tonight!

I can't do Pressdown last with a straight bar, kills my wrists and forarms and I don't get good contractions. Much better with a Vbar EZ bar (although I'm loving high rep lightish rope extensions at the moment)

Lol...its bloody brutal isn't it...weight is so light but its so tough...my mate doing it nearly lost his nose with the last set lol!
 
I've tried pressdowns with ropes, v bars...the lot but nothing seems to feel good really.

It does mate...when I was younger and a full time builder I managed but it was still very tough and no way I could do my current routines if I was doing it full time again...getting old lol.
