Cheers boys, appreciated :) pressing is feeling pretty well on point at the moment.
 
Had a great weekend, chilled with the missus and did some Christmassy stuff and got some much needed relaxation.
 
Back in the gym this morning and didn't have a vast amount of time to train but banged out what was needed and got out asap. My right lat was a little twingy but didn't have any impact as such on deadlifts apart from slowing me down a little as I was aware of the niggle. I am trying to slightly slow my lifts down anyway tbh and lock my lats in better to make starting position better and therefore lockout easier...feels good.

Decent enough, lat twinged a little on the down sets ironically but nothing too bad...I've had the missus take a look and she thinks there is no tear or anything bad and the fact its healing quickly shows that tbf. Not bad for today.

Bench feeling good today, 170kg double felt light and comfy, had another 1-2 there. Down sets moved very quickly and I got an awesome pump thanks to the low rest periods.
 
Standing Lean Forward Bent Arm Pec Dec

These felt great, lad in the gym shown me them last week and the focus on upper chest is really good and with the lean forwards I got a really good contraction each rep, felt great.
 
Seated Calf Raise - 30 sec rests

Tried a different rep and rest scheme and was good, great pump and burn In the calves.

works for me... altho sometimes once a journal gets this long, with one or 2 posts having been deleted over the years (spammers etc) sometimes it throws the new page starts off kilter a bit.
 
I know there was a new server change going on, but a major wholesale one that wasn't a quick transfer so I don't know if that's still ongoing or not

Cheers mate, feeling good, enjoying the strength stuff still but really enjoying my other bodybuilding sessions more possibly but feels like they compliment each other at the moment.

Immense session today, destroyed log book, literally blew old numbers away...pumps were crazy, delt pump was almost too much to handle it was nuts.

Last week 200kg x 5, this week I added 15 to that, cycle kicking in I think, strength rocketing up and feeling very very strong. Quad pump was extreme.
 
Somersault Squats
 
52.5kg x 10 rep pb
42.5kg x 15 rep pb
 
Weight up and reps maintained, again pumps were immense.
 
Adductor Machine
 
55kg x 20 rep pb
71kg x 12 rep pb
 
Weight maintained and reps up quite a lot, decent progress.
 
Leg Extensions
 
50kg x 12 rep pb
35kg x 15
 
Big increases on reps with 50kg, quads so full of blood.
 
DC Quad Stretch - pain pan pain
 
Smith Machine Seated Press
 
40kg x 10
60kg x 10
80kg x 5
102.5kg x 10 rep pb
85kg x 15 rep pb
 
Weight up again, awesome progress and delts began pumping massively.
 
Lying Incline Bench Cable Side Lateral

Reps slightly down on these as the pressing wiped out delts but worked them to failure as usual.
 
Incline Bench Lying Cross Body Side Lateral
 
10kg x 20 BURN!

These are awesome, so much better than dumbbells. The pump was unbearable by set 3, hurt so so much, the amount of blood being forced into the muscle was crazy. Will without doubt be keeping these in.
 
DC Delt Stretch
 
Incline Bench Cable Curls
 
40kg a side x 10 rep pb
35kg a side x 18 rep pb
 
Biceps pump again was huge, strength and reps up again on last week, comfortably. Huge pumps.
 
Machine Floor Press
 
80kg x 20
145kg x 15 rep pb

200kg x 1 pb
 
Weight and reps up again and triceps were in bits after these. My favourite tricep movement by a mile, as usual lately crazy pumps. Log Book smashed here massively.
 
Pinwheel Curls

34kg x 7 rep pb
 
Weight and reps up, biceps working really hard, blew up massively. Again log book destroyed.
 
Overhead Rope Extensions
 
45kg x 9 rep pb
35kg x 22 rep pb
 
Triceps felt dead before these but I eeked out more reps and saw progress on the movement nicely.
 
Reverse EZ Preacher Curls
 
35kg x 15 rep pb
40kg x 5 rep pb
 
35kg x 10 was my max, smashed a further 5 solid clean reps on top this week and id 40 x 5 after, massively painful. Arms at this point were so full of blood it was hard to move them.

Ta mate, its a great movement and fries my triceps, love it. I rigged something similar up in my home gym years ago to make a leverage machine' from scaffolding.

Increase in calories and cycle kicking in now i'm in week 5 is having a crazy effect on my training. Reps and weights are rocketing up with ease, things feel light and easy and getting obscene pumps. I had to keep checking that I had loaded the weights properly as it all felt so much lighter than it has done.
 
Session 3
 
Low Incline Smith Bench Press
 
40kg x 20
80kg x 12
105kg x 15 rep pb
125kg x 7 rep pb
 
105kg up from 100kg and 3 more reps too, 125kg, up from 120kg and an extra rep. So much stronger than last week and chest pumping very well.
 
Vertical Bench Press
 
105kg x 14 rep pb
110kg x 8 rep pb
 
4 more reps on set 1 and a new larger weight for set 2, again strength feeling massively up, nice slow controlled negatives and a deep stretch.
 
Incline Hammer Press
 
110kg x 15 rep pb
130kg x 8 rep pb
 
Set 1 up 5kg in weight and 3 more reps, set 2 up 5kg and 2 more reps, big increases again and feeling very very good.
 
Pec Dec
 
91kg x 13 rep pb
98kg x 10 rep pb
 
Reps up by 3 reps on set 1 and new larger weight on set 2, the pump and burn in chest was huge. PB's again, with ease.
 
Standing Cable Flyes
 
45kg x 12 rep pb
50kg x 6 rep pb
 
4 reps up on set 1 and again a bigger weight on set 2. Strength soaring and chest pumping very well.
 
Hammer Pulldowns

Nice and light to protect injured lat, just got some blood flowing in to the area.
 
One Arm Hammer Low Rows

Oddly has no bad effect on lat tweak, felt good in fact and was getting some really good contractions and lats pumped really well.
 
Reverse Pec Dec
 
63kg x 22 rep pb
70kg x 12 rep pb + 16 partials to complete failure
 
7 reps up on set 1 and new larger weight on set 2. Rear delts on fire!
 
Seated Leg Curls
 
100kg x 12 rep pb
110kg x 5 rep pb
 
Weight and reps up...again lol. Hamstrings blew up.
 
Lying Leg Curls

70kg x 8 rep pb
 
Again so strong and really good reps, hams were fried before moving on to...
 
Reverse Hack Squat SLDL

165kg x 12 rep pb
 
5kg up on set 1 and another 5 reps, 5 kg up on set 2 and 4 reps up. Hamstrings and glutes in tatters.
 
Job done, feeling massively strong and like I am hitting a new level this week, things really clicking.
