Decent sessions so far.

5 a day split so far you’ve done

Back and hams
Bi’s and Tri’s
Calves and delts

Do chest and quads get their own days?

How do you feel about this once a week body part stuff (if it is once a week?)

I know you have to trust your coach but do you personally think that’s optimal ?


Yes mate chest Monday... Legs tomorrow.

I thought similar and he considered a push pull routine which we may move to in the future but he is seeking to bring up my weaknesses for now.

I'm putting full trust in to him and not thinking of how I'd 'coach me' he has a bigger plan in mind and I have to trust in that.

I must admit I'm getting far better focus and hitting the target muscle far harder than on my old twice... Three weekly routine so will see where it leads the coming months mate 😬💪💪

I'll post it up when I get home mate... From memory it's about 340 pro, 440 carb and 45ish fat... I'll check when back. Protein is way higher than I'd normally go and fats much lower but again I'm not arguing and doing as I'm told lol.

That's a very peculiar split.... not cutting yet are you, I know higher protein on a cut makes sense but that is interesting. And yes, fats are VERY low IMO. As you say, I'm sure he has a reason, just interested tho

Yup I agree its an odd one but I am sure he must have a bigger plan in mind.

Your Mrs used to play rugby!! As if rugby wasn't violent enough chuck a bunch of women in it suddenly steps up another level.At college we played mixed hockey and I was booted up a fcukin height by my own goalie and she was wearing metal kickers hurt like a b@stard ,women in sports are not competitive just bloody violent LOL


LOLOL man and she was your own goalie?! Damn lol! 


Yes mate she played for England...she was is extremely strong and her job in the game was to get the first big hit of the match in and ideally get her opposite number off the pitch bust up as fast as possible. She regularly put them in hospital, proper hardcore my missus! She was also a female bouncer at Uni and often used to pick a bloke off the floor drag him out, open the fire door with his head and chuck him outside lolol!

Haha...she's awesome mate...my true Soulmate :) Lol Hell no mate, we're both 41, well I am in 2 weeks lol and I have had a vasectomy so no way...I have 4 kids in total, 1 biological, 3 step kids, more than enough!
 
We have discussed the beast we would have produced though lol!

Big leg session today, I was careful with my weights as I am not used to the high reps involved, I will build over the coming weeks.
 
Session 5 - Quads and Hams - BW 100.2kg
 
Leg Extensions 10x10 - 1 0 second rests

Still finding out weights to use but these felt good, crazy pump and banged out so fast, legs feeling it straight away.

Felt really good, scope to build from, really feeling them though, very shaky legs after as I hobbled to the squat rack.

Piddly weights but legs in utter bits, the blood in my quads, hams and glutes was insane. I will try and eek these up as I become accustomed to the high reps and fitness improves.

Again being careful with weight selection as I am really not used to such high reps hammies burning!

Felt really good, right hammy weaker than my left, these felt so painful, I couldn't get them to relax after, utter pain, like they were in the first ham session earlier this week, should be seeing some decent progress from these.

Great session, still have to adapt to the volume and weights but feeling in a good starting place here. Legs in tatters now.

Yeh I think fitness will be your limiting factor with these high reps.. but the body adjusts so damn quick and nothing get the heart racing like high rep dead’s and squats!

No doubt mate...it will build pretty quickly I think, its certainly done something as my quads, hams and glutes are hurting like a bitch this morning! Intrigued as to what the program will produce.

New stimulus will cause new doms. New stimulus will trigger new responses. Which is great but don't get sucked in to something out of the ordinary happening like an unlocked program of unknown gains... It's like PLers loving GVT but someone like me not noticing much - it's a far bigger overhaul for one compared to other... It's a simple case of the benefits of change.

I'm not expecting anything extraordinary...the change up will no doubt have benefits but nothing is going to work miracles...especially at my point in training. Be interesting to see what does occur next few months though. Diet in an offseason has never been this dialled in either so interested in seeing how that effects things.
