PC/Firefox/Internet help!!!

Ok Im at my witts end!!!! 2 days ago Firefox started playing up and wasnt allowing me to access certain sites MuscleTalk being one of them along with Facebook, Yahoo and a few others. What would happen is when I clicked on the link in my favourites the page would just hang and it would say 'waiting for www.muscletalk.co.uk' in the bottom left corner but nothing would happen. Also I could load up google but when I typed somthing in the search bar again it would hang there!? Sites like BBC and Bebo and my Pipex webmail would load up fine!

So I un-installed and re-installed FF twice and still the same thing. I then un-installed it a 3rd time and now it will not re-install or at least its installing but will not load up when clicked!?

So Im lost? I dunno what the problem is! Ive had a look through all the options and cant see anywhere where sites may be listed as being blocked or anything? and now I dunno why FF wont load up?

Any ideas? I work in IT Tech Support so should really know what the problem is but I just cant think lol!

Have you tried pinging the sites you are trying to access? Hit Start>Run> the type CMD; put in ping www.muscletalk.co.uk - if it times out, then there is a problem with the route your ISP is trying to send you through. You can double check this with www.proxify.com - as it will doubtless send you another way. If it is this - you have to wait until whatever line issue inbetween the servers is fixed

There is also a chance that your router is, for want of a better phrase, buggerd - try reseting it, as this often happens at work for us.

As for the FF not loading issue - pass

(oh, and I do hope the stuff I mentioned above has already been done given your job, just thought I'd mention anyway!!)
