    oat powder
    weetabix/small banana
    none
    rice cakes

    there are some 'rules/guidelines' but very few

    Well WMS isnt as quick as dextrose.

    Dextrose is the quickest acting sugar there is.

    I recommend the dextrose to be honest, as i feel PWO is something that should contain carbs and quick acting ones.

    I just have weetabix as it allows me more food.

    WMS is faster than dextrose.

    I said dextrose was the quickest acting sugar.

    WMS isnt a sugar.

    Why have something higher GI (Lucozade) on a cut Oats are lower GI so they would be better suited for cutting.

    Quantity is more relevant over GI when it comes to cut vs bulk but I'd think low GI on a bulk vs higher GI on a cut was a bit Irish.

    GI of carbs taken PWO depends on body type - some prefer oats or Weetabix, some stick with dextrose and other have bananas. There's no hard-and-fast rule.

    is that not a contradiction

    there are some rules

    do you believe the body is not in a state PWO to accept 'high GI foods' and do you not believe PWO bucks any trend RE keeping glycemic/insulin response low?

    you can sit and argue every point every day

    at the end of the day if you are growing, crack on

    if you are not, change it

    bananas = yes
    bananas = no

    again if it is working roll on as very few people actually take it back to science and very few can pinpoint gains to one meal

    i have one to two 'rules' beyond that......

    each to their own

    Agree with TT.

    PWO is one of those areas that you will just have to accept that there are so many views on it.

    What you need
    How much
    Should you drink it all at once
    etc...
