Pain when overhead squatting

I started overhead squating recently, however, when i get to about parallel i have pain in the middle of my back. It feels like my back is tightening very badly and is squeezing something, sorry i know the descripstion sucks but i dont know how to describe it any better. If anyone knows how i can fix the problem it wwould be excellent. cheers

thats the thing, its never happened to me before. I deadlift and back squat on a regular basis and its never happened to me. I have also front squated before and its never happened then either. My back isnt very flexible and that could be the problem. im not sure. Ive started bridging recently and i still have the pain when i overhead squat.

well when i am bridging i am on my head, but i have my nose as close to the ground as possible. i dont know if that makes sense or not but i think i am doing it right.
Thank you very much for the advice, i will do that and try overhead squats again in the future.
