Painfull breasts?

Just wonderd has any one else had pain-full breasts? I went to the doctors with this the other day and he examined me and said I felt quite lumpy generally but it could be due to my period, he wants me to go back, this will be the 3rd time.

I don't lift very heavy weights the most I go up to is 16kg Dumbells for chest press. Is there any way you can strain your breast? My doctor mentioned this when i told him i weight train. I understood that muscle tissue is different to breast tissue. It's not a deep pain it's a part of my actual breast that is occasionaly painfull to touch.

Thanx

I've recently strained my chest muscle and it's definatly a deep pain in your chest rather than breast pain.

I actually called out an ambulance because I thought I was having heart problems :/

    Hope you get better soon

Whenever I've had this problem it's either been hormonal thing or I was pregnant.

Is the pain a cyclical or do you have it all the time?

you know yourself whether its breast tissue or muscular and sounds like you know its tissue.

have had it before and yeah its hormonal i think..... i dont THINK its usually anything to worry about, just a nuisance really. best to double check with docs anyway though.

are you on the pill? i think this can affect it and changing may help?

Fair lady, the pain comes and goes. Im not pregnant as iv'e had periods since the pain began but I must say it's a similar pain to when your breasts are full during breast feeding.

Zara im not on the pill, i know that can cause these symptoms. It's just bugging me at the moment, at least it's not afecting my training. Just wait to see what doc says i guess. Nice to see you're still around BTW somthing like 50 weeks of training to your comp?

I have lumpy breasts and have been for biopsies twice as a result. Both times it was just clusters of little cysts. If you can get your GP to send you to a Breast Clinic to get it checked out you should get an ultrasound and if that is all it is they should show up straight away.

Bit of a daunting experience going, and having a needle stuck in your breast is b****y painful, but at least you will know what the problem is and should get the reassurance that it is nothing more serious.

My doctor said i generaly have 'lumpy breasts' too!! and thats why he couldn't be certain there was or wasn't a lump....I was wondering how to interpit the lumpy breast comment He wants me to go back a third time so i'd have thought he'd refer me for a scan, think i'll ask him.

I had deep chest pain, but I work next door to the hospital and went to emergency. They coudln't find anything wrong with me. A while later I went in to surgery for a tummy tuck they found I had a hernia. It was that all along.

Righto .. time to book myself in for some surgery haha !

That's quite scary though .... if I don't get anywhere with the Sports Therapist i'm getting an appointment with I think I'll get back down the docs... my chest pain has been ongoing on and off for about 6 weeks now :/

Welshy, didn't realise you still had problems with it....fell like a right meanie now for laughing at you, hope it gets sorted.

It seems this is a common occurance, breast pain that is, not tummy tucks! Although i would't mind one myself
Ragdoll was it the hernia that caused you chest pain? I clearly don't know much about them execpt they are caused by straining?
