Paleowales.co.uk - has anyone used them?

As the subject line says - has anyone here used paleowales.co.uk to buy meat?  If so, was it a positive experience?  If it was, does anyone have a referral code I could use?  I'm looking to bulk buy some cheaper cuts (ox tail etc) for the slow cooker.

I've not used those guys, always used Great British Meat, or Muscle Food who I have had plenty of issues with.

Wolf - what's been your issue with Muscle food?  I've found their chicken to be good value and good quality but the steaks have been a bit suspect

Mainly packaging issues, the last 3 orders I've had the chicken has arrived split and covered the entire contents of the box in chicken slime. To be fair, the CS has been good, but the issues keep happening sadly.

Also had some bits missing previously, and also other packaging mishaps too.

I've gone ahead and put in an order with Paleo Wales:

    I've order:

    1.5kg of beef bones
    1kg of ox tail
    0.5kg calves liver
    1.3kg of lamb shoulder
    0.5kg beef cheeks
    1kg beef ribs

£49 inc VAT and delivery.  I'll post up a review when I've scoffed it all!

When I used to use them I started to have similar problems. Although they got sorted out it was still annoying due to happening four times in a row!

I received my second order from Paleowales last week of:

    5kg chicken breast
    4kg grass fed beef mince
    2kg brisket
    4kg grass fed stewing steak.

Quality is outstanding, and service is great considering it's run by a one man band in Wales.

I tried muscle food, but their beef mince was inedible to the point i threw out the 1.5kg chilli batch i made, basically its mostly made up of collagen giving it that entrails smell even when cooked. Paleo wales is closer to restaurant quality meat surpassing anything you find in a supermarket, I'll use them exclusively from now on.

    0.5kg ox liver

    Hoping it arrives today...

    Received my delivery yesterday.
Packaging was great and quality looks good too.  Will try my first bit of rump tonight...

Good stuff mate. Is the beef aged at all, or an info about it etc?

Lots of info on their site lone, but I'm not as savvy on the process.  It says the beef is 'finished after 60 days'?  Does that mean it's hung or the cattle are slaughtered at that age?

The meat has some marbling and is slightly browner if that helps?  The fat is a cream to yellow.
