Performance Matrix

One for the reps maybe...

I notice the serving size is now 20g, previously 35g with Tri-Matrix, yet the servings per tub are still 40.  So obviously the tubs are smaller - obviously.

Is that realistically 40 servings with Performance Matrix?  The serving size has nearly halved, I understand that some of the ingredients have been increased but does that really mean the serving size needed to be decreased so heavily?  Or are people more likely to need two servings and therefore you are only actually getting 20?

I've actually just ordered some, so I'll find out for myself soon I suppose, but part of me can't help but feel it's a bit of a marketing ploy.

Thoughts?

It depends - I personally have double scoops (so that would be 20 servings per tub) but there are no secrets with performance matrix - you can make your mind up based on the actual numbers rather than guessing against a proprietary blend like most pre workouts!

Ive used a sample of it before, and alltho i admit not to the level of some of the other preworkouts i tryred, i had a preety good workout off of 1 sample and i consider it, due to being a lower stim-content based product, one to be used to bridge gaps of some of the stronger stuff out there.
Defo got a good pump and great vasucularity off this one

Maybe I've not phrased my point well.

I've been using the predecessor for a couple of years - it's in fact the only pre work supplement I have returned to after finishing the tub.  I like the product (or at least the old one, can't comment on the new one yet).

I'm just a little confused as to why they would increase some of the ingredients but then decreased the serving size.  Seems completely counter productive.

My query is around the large drop in serving size.  Do they (or anyone else) think the new serving size is actually adequate or realistic?

As you say, it's not a stimulant heavy pre work out sup, it never was, so I can't see halving the suggested serving size being because it was too strong.  Just after a bit of an explanation or some theory behind it.

A double scoop with give roughly a similar profile to Tri Matrix Evo.

The reason for the change is that whilst many members here find TME/PM low on stimulants compared with other products, many of those who are new to pre-workouts find modest doses of caff a bit of a kick in backside. The idea is to get them to start at a lower dose and work up if reqired.

Has anyone else found that this product froths a lot and won't settle?

I'm currently staring at about an inch thick layer of bubbles.  This has occured every time I've used it so far and it doesn't settle.

Any frothing always used to settled really quickly with the Tri-Matrix Evo. As per The Graduates post above, it's more or less the same product, so what is it that is causing the frothing?  The slight increase in caffiene?  The flavouring ingredients?

I've got Blackcurrent if that matters?

    Any thoughts?

Not noticed THAT much frothing, I use this a few times a week. Generally the more you shake it though the more froth you get (this is true for most shakes) - not sure how you could do this with performance matrix though I think if I did that the lid would explode off lol

Well I always used to get a bit with the TME, but it used to settle within a minute or so and a quick 'swirl' more or less got rid of it.  Now it just sits there.

It might just be the Blackcurrant, because I bought some Pineapple as well, the other half has it at her house (I got her one as well) and she hasn't noticed it.  Although she only uses one scoop rather than two and 'doesn't shake much' (in her words) as her shaker is crap.

Doesn't affect the product really, just found it a little odd.

Bah, got it wrong, I ordered fruit punch and not pineapple...

To be honest I'm not normally overly offended by the taste of these products.  I used to use the fruit punch 'allin1 pump' back in the day.  can't imagine it'll taste too dissimilar.

I'm sceptical when it tastes too 'soft drink' like.  Some of those ingredients can't be easy to mask flavour wise.

Dont try to get rid of the froth and drink it, its like a layer of fizzy sherbert or sumtin when you get the froth, yummy!

I got half way through a tub then got injured lol , well more like 2/3 of a tub. i liked it.

I had a 2.5 scoop to try get me through a workout after a long day at work, was a bad idea, did the opposite of what i wanted. I would say 1.5 scoops to 2 scoops is enough.

I've tried all the flavours and pineapple gives you less froth.

I dont really notice the froth TBH honest and find it mixes better than TME.

Personally best flavour is Blackcurrant, followed by Pineapple then FP.
