Please Advise.

Hi, this is my first post on the site and looking for some advice. Previously i've been following more bodybuilding style workouts but am more interested in strongman and strength training. I am currently following this routine, any advice or reccommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Mon
Deadlift 8,6,4,2
Low Pulley Row 3x6
Wide Grip Pulldown 3x6

Wed
Incline Dumbell Press 8,6,4,2
Weighted Dips 3x6
Incline flye 3x8

Fri
Barbell Squat 8,6,4,2
Leg Press 3x6
Standing Barbell Press 8,6,4,2
Behind Neck Press 3x6

Age-23
Weight-195lbs
Deadlift-200kgs
Squat-145kgs
Flat Bench-130kgs

    firstly, well done with your lifts, they are impressive.
    2ndly, if strength is your new goal i would not be doing anything above 5reps on any movement. and go for triples at most on DL, singles are even better. i will assume that as you are under 200lb and can deadlift doulbe your weight, you can WG-chin?? imo WGC's are much better than pulldowns/pulley rows. i would also put dips before bench, but some others may not like that, so dont take that as red. lastly, TBH, you don't really need leg press after squatting, imo with your squats, less reps, and on more set should be fine.

    P.S. i don't know what the general concensus is about behind neck pressing here, personally i think it is dangerous and pointless.

    You'll want to start doing as many moves as possible standing up bearing weight too, stabilisers are vitally important.

    Thanks for the advice guys. Although I can deadlift twice my bodyweight, I really struggle with wide grip chins, always have. Maybe I should just persevere with them as I believe they are amongst one of the best strength building exercises. Thanks again.
