Please check out my diet and add any ideas!

Hi guys!

I'm hoping you can check out my diet and give me any constructive criticism and tips to improve it in order for me to smash on some weight! To be honest I've never been great with my diet but lately I've been following this one! Any advise would be greatly appreciated! Here goes!

Stats:
Age. 23
weight: 14 and a half stone
height: 6 foot 2

Daily supplements:
Applied nutrition critical mass weight gainer (protein 52g, carbs 155g and 920 cals per serving)
General multi vitamins
Vitamin b complex
met-rx ZMA
met-rx BCAA
EFX Kre-Alkalyn

Typical daily routine:
8:00am- 5 egg white scrambled on 2 wholemeal toasts. 1 cup of oatmeal mixed with semi skimmed milk. 1 serving of weight gainer

11:00am- 1 tuna sandwich on wholemeal bread. 1 apple. 2 bananas. 1 glass of semi skimmed milk

2:00pm- 1 chicken breast and a cup of white rice with side portion of spinach salad. 1 banana. 1 glass of semi skimmed milk

5:00pm- 1 serving of weight gainer and 1 apple

8:00pm- 1 large rump steak and pasta with a side portion of green veg. 1 glass of milk

11:00pm- 1 serving of weight gainer and an orange

This is varied slightly day to day but pretty much similar most weeks. I also snack on nuts between meals and drink at least 2 litres of water per day.

I welcome any comments or suggestions!

Cheers!
Dan

Your breakfast is huge! How do you manage to get all of that down?

The Critical Mass is a good product though, used it myself with very good results. Tastes nice too doesn't it!

Maybe stick some L-Glut in there matey...

haha, I admit the breakfast is a struggle, but like to get it all down to set me up for the day! Critical mass is awesome in my opinion! the calories you can add from just 2-3 shakes a day makes a huge difference, would recommend it to anyone!

You got a rough idea of macronitrients mate?

Could work in some fats to your diet if trying to put on some weight. Whole eggs, red meats, nuts, oils etc. Fat boosts your testosterone level which is always a bonus.

Carbs seem quite high. Meal 2 that must be maybe 75grams+ Not sure how many grams of carbs your ingesting from your weight gainers shakes etc but you must be on quite a lot of carbs?

Got quite a lot of fruit scattered accross your daily intake. I'd keep it for your breakfast and post-workout meals, and put in place some vegetables.

What's your average rate of weight gain per week as it stands?

the only thing i can see is maybe change white rice to brown rice mate?

and add broccoli and green beans to your main meal. helps keep me from gettin all bloated and clogged up.

feel free to ignore me, lol your diet is probably better than mine.

I actually do have a high intake of carbs you are right mate! The weight gainer is 150ish grams per serving. However I'm gaining a steady pound or 2 per 2 weeks at present, been holding down this diet now for a good month. I'm hoping to bloat up in fact so all seems good so far!

Whats the macronutrients all about then?

Yeah, I thought about that mate but to be honest! I can't stand brown rice haha! The white will have to stay for now!

Basically your Protein, Carbohydrate and Fat intake per meal/per day.

Even when bulking it's good to be aware of timing of simple carbs and fat intake. Although you wanna be putting on weight, you ideally wanna be putting on as little fat as possible. I don't understand the piece of fruit at 11pm?... Protein and fat at that time of night is good but the fruit will spike insulin levels unnecessarily.

As a whole it's a suitable diet could just juggle around some of your meals for better uptake.
