The routine in itself is fine, I'm not sure I'd give it some whos only been training 4 months though. I think I would get him doing 5x5 possibly 4x6 on the first exercise each workout and then 3x8 on the rest. Also you have the issue of form, whats his form like after 4 months? Will he be able to maintain form under a heavy load?
