Possible to make a £100K p/y as a PT?

Just received this e-mail from Phil Learney, someone who I have the utmost respect for and someones whose knowledge I consider invaluable, but do you not think he's being a bit unrealistic here?

I WILL make 10 coaches £1million profit next year...

#fact

Don’t worry, I haven’t gone off the deep end like all the rubbish you see in your Facebook feed.

You know the posts (AKA ads) I’m talking about:

‘Join my secret inner circle and discover the 6-figure fitness business secret…today’

However, what it ends up usually being is YOU (the coach) forking out tens of thousands of pounds to someone who has likely never ‘made it’ that big-time themselves.

(Usually with an underling/‘business coach' who just wants an easy number to recoup the thousands they ‘invested’ themselves)

Which, to be honest, has more than pi$$ed me off lately.

So...I am going to do something about it.

What I am going to do, is make 10 coaches - in 2015 - collectively make £1million between them.

That £1million will be profit profit.

Yep.

No gimmicks...

No maths ‘trickery…

No 'lifetime value of a customer BS’...

I am just going to teach ten people who apply, (and then pass though the selection process) exactly what I said above ^^^

If they do exactly what I tell them to, with NO exceptions - and deliver their work with 100% ethical practices…

And from doing that they don’t make the money they want to from it?

Then I will refund them EVERY penny back and they can leave the program with no questions asked.

#fact

(am getting into my #’s lately - don’t know if you have noticed!)

Whether you are in central London, or a lad/lass from up North like me; I am completely confident I will be able to massively improve your business to the point where you are THE top trainer in your area.

To give you an idea about what this will involve, a few key points:

  • Weekly business mentoring by me - and access to me 24/7 via FB
  • ‘Done for you’ marketing funnels from my team - websites, adverts, copy, images - the works.
  • VIP access to every single event - as well as monthly London masterminds AND quarterly team events
  • Coaching in every aspect of your fitness business: exercise, nutrition, marketing, sales, presentation, writing - NOTHING is left out
  • Want to get into the magazines? Photo shoots with your favourite athlete? Sponsored by a supplement brand? Well - you get access to 15 years worth of high-level contacts - though me - as well
  • You will PERSONALLY be involved (and mentored by me) to the standard where you will get published

There is a stack more (you should see my Evernote, the list is about 57 points long so far) That I could tell you about, as well as few new ‘surprises’ that I will be bringing out in 2015 - which I can’t talk about right now…

But yes, you will have exclusive access to those too.

So, if you are interested in having someone who has ACTUALLY walked the walk, show YOU how to walk it too?

Then click ‘reply’ and I will send you an application form.

Now then, there is one point I want to make completely clear:

This will not be cheap.

So if the idea of investing in yourself to become a 6-figure+ trainer of the HIGHEST exercise & nutrition standard (and not just some bloody salesman) doesn’t interest you?

Delete this - normal service will resume in a day or so...

But if you are?

Then you know exactly what to do.

And remember, if you are selected to apply for one of the 10 spots, and somehow I don’t keep my word and make you the return I promised?

You get every penny back - lets see anyone beat that eh?

Catch you soon,

Phil

P.S. Don’t worry, just to reassure you I’m as far from selling out as its possible to get.

I just want to show a few people in this industry how its done, that and want to change the lives of 10 people, and make them £1million between them.

Call it making a difference…

Phil Learney might make a 100k+ but it won't be through PT'ing directly!

I think he counteracted that with his every penny back guarantee.

I'm sure he could find something why you wouldn't be entitled to a refund.

Would such a well established name such as PL need to go to these depths to earn a few more quid though? I doubt it... I think there is some proof in the pudding here possibly?

I wouldn't mind betting someone like Jordan peters is earning 100k a year(if not then he will be close), clearly this isn't purely from PT work, but it is related activities!

Do the math.

To earn £100k before tax would mean taking £1923 for every week of the year. That's 8 clients per day at £34 an hour. No holidays, no days off.

Do you think a PT would be able to find that amount of people wanting to to pay that amount of money?

I'm always wary of anything that sounds this good.
And I think the 10 is make it sound exclusive and hurry any ditherers up.
But if you're 11 do you think he'll turn you down? Or 12, 13...
As Wes says, I'd do the maths first. I'd have loads of questions for him like where is this £100k going to be coming from exactly? All P/T client work? Oh and how much is it going to cost?

I do lol at these sales emails, they're all the same, written by the same company and follow the same manipulative patterns.

Is it possible to make £100k a year as a PT? Yes, you can and people have and people will in the future, make themselves millionaires PT'ing. Is it likely? No.

How much is he asking for anyway?

How long have you been PT'ing? Probably a good idea to build some experience before wasting your money.

This isn't something I'm looking to pursue...

I'm not saying it is possible

I posted it to create some discussion.

Oh ok.

Yes with the right marketing. I doubt there are any PT's that started from nothing earning 100k. The guys I know earning a lot had previously successful high earning jobs or rich parents.

They often own the studio/gym or make most of their money from running courses. Or selling useless online programs which require no time or effort but numpties buy into once you're established as a good PT, or you look good..

From how it sounds, there will be a careful selection process and he will pick the best of the applicants, those already working at a decent level and having some kind of moderate to good reputation. Then he will link that with his contacts and plan and move it on a gear, so theoretically perfectly possible and I am sure he has geared it for success.

He charges much more than £34 an hour lol.

This is London. If you want a PT session with a run of the mill idiot at fitness first it costs £35 an hour.
