Post work out carbs when losing weight

How important is carbs in your post workout meal if you are looking at losing weight or decreasing B/F?

I understand the rough guide says 1g of carbs and 0.25 of protein per kilo of bodyweight within 20 mins of working out. But if you are looking at a calorie deficit to lose weight or decrease B/F wouldn't taking in the carbs defeat the object of trying to create a colorie deficit? Or should you cut the Calories from other meals in the day?

Carbs are very important on a cut for either PWO or PPWO.

Some people simply have whey in water for PWO, then some complex carbs as part of PPWO.

Some people have carbs at both PWO and PPWO.

Sod the rough guide. Does the person who wrote that know your metabolism? I think not. You have to eat, monitor and adjust accordingly. Some people do best with no carbs in the PWO shake and others do best with carbs. You have to suck it and see for yourself what works best for YOU.
